Seeking Solutions for Faulty Headlight Cleaning System and Wiper Fluid Pump in 2019 Fiat Talento

Headlight cleaning system without function

Hey got a quirky problem on my hands with my 2019 Fiat Talento, diesel engine. My headlight cleaning system is dead - not a flicker. I have a hunch that it might be linked to the rear window wiper fluid pump signal acting up. Has anyone had a similar issue or can shed some light on this? Also, I'm keen to know if anyone got this fixed at a workshop and what their experience was like. Chasing any tips or knowledge to get my motor back in action. Cheers!

Hey there, I had a similar glitch with my 2017 Fiat Ducato a while back. I am by no means an auto expert, more like a casual car enthusiast. In my case, it turned out to be a pump cable connection or relay fault. The team at my local workshop were solid - they diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed it without a fuss. Cost me around 165 Euro, which seemed reasonable. Before I can get into more specifics about what they did, could you share a bit more info about your Talento? Such as mileage, last service date, or specific symptoms you've noticed? This kind of information might help me give you more detailed advice. Cheers!

Hey, appreciate the heads up on your experience with the Ducato. My Talento just ticked over 102183 km and honestly, this issue has popped up pretty recently since the last service. No noticeable quirks or symptoms aside from the headlight cleaning system and rear window wiper fluid pump signal playing up. I'll definitely have a look at the connection you mentioned. If I get stuck, workshop it is! Cheers for the help!

Hey. Based on what you've said, your Talento has impressive mileage. This suggests moderate to heavy use, which could hasten wear and tear on parts, including the cable connection, relay, or even the pump on the headlight cleaning system or rear window wiper fluid pump. When I was in your boat with my Fiat Ducato, I found out that these little guys seem to have a knack for causing a fuss when you least expect it. These parts might not always show signs before they give up. As a quick fix, you could check out the pump cable connection and the relay as I mentioned in my previous message. But with your current mileage, it might be best you check with your local workshop in case there are other underlying issues that you might miss. They might be able to diagnose other issues during a routine inspection. Let me know how it goes! Cheers!

Hey there! You're quite spot on - my Talento has been through the wringer. I drive long distances for work, so mileage does rack up pretty speedily. Your insight makes a lot of sense, I guess components tend to wear off over time especially considering how often I'm on the road. I'll try checking out the pump cable and relay, but you're definitely right about taking it in for a more thorough check-up at my local workshop. Thanks for taking the time to lend your knowledge and experience - it's been super helpful! I'll keep you posted on developments. Cheers!
