Hey, appreciate your response and it's interesting to hear you had a similar problem. Regarding the "general electric malfunctions", it seems to be pretty unusual. Sometimes the multimedia system acts up and restarts itself; other times, the dashboard lighting will flicker. Plus, that speedometer warning light is hitting more frequently. No particular error codes though, it's just these weird occurrences. Just to note, my Tarraco recently crossed the 132476 KM on the odometer and I last serviced it around 5000 KM ago. I guess it's getting on in miles... maybe due for another service soon? Anyway, thanks again for the advice, and it does give me a bit more confidence going into the workshop! Cheers!
Hey there! Ah, I see what you mean now. It sounds like your Seat Tarraco is throwing a bit of an electric tantrum - tricky indeed! Perhaps a failing battery or alternator could be responsible for the unusual electrical issues. I remember my old Leon once had a dashboard LED light start to flicker, and it was the onset of the battery being on its last legs. Might be worth keeping an eye on. Considering your mileage and time since last service, an inspection surely wouldn’t hurt. Maybe get them to do a thorough electrical systems check while they're at it. Problems like these can be elusive, so having a professional take a peek is always a good idea. Remember, the cost of preventing potential damage is usually less than the cost of fixing said damage. So no harm in getting another service if you feel it's due! Hopefully, between the parking aid sensor and a round of diagnostics, they can help locate the issues and get them resolved. Anyway, keep us posted on what happens, and best of luck! Stay safe and happy motoring. Cheers.
Hi there, Cheers for the additional advice! You're right, I think taking it in for a thorough check-up is the next step. And good thought about the battery, I'll definitely mention it to the workshop. Hopefully, they'll be able to track down these seemingly elusive issues. You've been a great help and it's much appreciated! I'll make sure to post an update once I've got some more info. Until then, happy driving and stay safe too! Thanks again!
Hey there! This sounds familiar. I previously drove a 2018 Seat Leon, Petrol engine. My car expertise level I would say is some experience, not a pro, but I know a bit. I had almost the same issue with my Leon. The problem turned out to be a defective parking aid sensor, same as you suspected. I took my Leon to my local workshop, and the guys there were great. They ran a diagnostic just like you did, confirmed it was the sensor, then got it replaced in no time. It set me back by about 265.00 Euro, but it was a necessary expense. However, each case can be unique. Could you elaborate more on these "general electric malfunctions"? Any particular patterns or frequent error codes? This extra info could help me (and maybe others) figure out if you're having the same issue as I did. Hopefully, we can get you back parking like a pro soon! Cheers.
