Seeking Solutions for Electrical Issues and Navigation System Problems in a 2020 Seat Tarraco, Diesel

General electric malfunction

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Navigationssystem is not working

Hey folks! Running into some trouble here with my 2020 Seat Tarraco, diesel. I'm seeing some stuff I've never spotted before - general electrical issues, my navigation system's on the fritz, and there's this warning light that's just shown up on the speedometer. I've been thinking it might be due to some error on the Flex-Ray bus, but that's just a guess. Ever seen anything like this? I'd really appreciate hearing about any similar problems you've faced, particularly how you managed to fix it or your experience with workshops sorting it out. Thanks in advance!

Hey there! I've got a 2018 Seat Ateca, quite similar to your Tarraco. I'm no vehicle whiz, just your average car owner with some experience. I ran into an oddly similar problem a few months back. It turned out to be a defective cable connection or plug. Took it down to my local workshop, and the lads there sorted it out for me. In your case, I'd say, check that first, if you haven't yet. That's what cost me about 155.00 Euro. Sounds like your situation might be similar. To give more detailed advice though, could you let me know how the car's behaving when you're driving? Does the issue occur continually or intermittently? Every little detail might help pinpoint the problem even quicker.

Yo! Thanks for sharing your experience. My Tarraco is at 127,755 KM and the issues seem intermittent, more like acting up when I've been driving for a while. Doesn't seem to have any pattern or trigger that I can tell. I'll swing by my local workshop this weekend and look into the cable connection as you suggested. Appreciate the advice!

Hey, no problem! Glad to help a fellow Seat owner out. Your symptoms actually remind me of my Ateca when I had that issue. It too acted up after the car had been driving for some time, not really a clear pattern as such. Can be quite a headache to figure out what's up. Good move on checking out the workshop, they should be able to diagnose it. While I'm here, another thing you might want to check is your car battery. Sometimes, unusual electric malfunctions can be caused by an ageing or faulty battery. Given your vehicle's mileage, it's something to consider. Anyway, good luck at the workshop! Keep us posted, would love to know how it goes.

Huh, didn't quite think about the battery, but it makes sense given the mileage. I'll have them check that out too while I'm at the workshop. Thanks a ton for that invaluable tip! Will definitely keep you in the loop about what they find. Cheers for being a lifesaver!
