Hey there! Appreciate the response and story - mine's clocked about 63952 km so it's been far and wide. Mostly city driving, with a good long run on the highways every now and then. I feed it nothing but diesel. Pretty sure the problem's not related to fuel quality though, 'cause I always stick to the good stuff from reputable stations. Bit of a pickle, aye! Guess I'll have to get the pros to take a swing at it. Will keep you posted on what happens next. Cheers!
Hey, great to hear back from you! Yeah, we do seem to be on the same boat. Your Stinger's mileage isn't too high for this kind of issue. Like you, I do a lot of city driving with my Optima as well, which I hear can sometimes cause these sort of swirl flap problems, just from the stop-and-go nature of things. Absolutely agree with you on the fuel quality, always need to play it safe and get the good diesel... Don't need more trouble, right? In my case, a pro was indeed the exact medicine I needed. Yeah, it cost me a bit, but it was way worth knowing my ride was fixed properly. Do keep us updated! Always useful to hear about other ' experiences. And yeah, fingers crossed it's just a wonky swirl flap for you too. Best of luck! Cheers!
Hey again! Cheers for elaborating on that. Must say, you've taken a load off my mind a bit. My trusty Stinger and I have been through some amazing experiences, and I'm not ready to give up on her just yet, not even for some overgrown flap! If it’s what needs to be done for her to stay reliable, then I'm ready to fork out the necessary Euro. Thanks for sharing your wisdom - it's been super reassuring! Once she’s been seen by the pros, you'll be the first to know. Cheers!
Hey! Sounds a lot like an issue I had with my 2018 Kia Optima Diesel. It's a similar animal to your Stinger, assuming it's the same brand. I'm no car guru, but I do have some experience messin' around with things. I ended up taking my car to the local workshop. Turns out, you're spot on! The pesky swirl flap was indeed buggered! The lads at the garage got it sorted though, for a somewhat steep 865€. Not exactly cheap, but at least the beast's purring like a kitten now. But, you know, every car's a bit different. How many miles has your gal run? What type of fuel do you put in her? Where have you been driving: city, rural, both? That info might help me paint a better picture for you! Hope this helps! Be sure to let us know the outcome. Fingers crossed it’s something small. Cheers!
