Hey, thanks for getting back! It's good to hear you managed to sort it out. Up until now, my Tarraco has roughly 170869 KM on the clock and no major modifications, just the usual maintenance stuff. I think my last service was a month or so ago. As for the error, there aren't any other messages popping up, just that blasted 'Navigation system image data is invalid.' It's like the system crashed and never came back. Ever had something like this? Cheers!
Hey! Well, hats off to you for taking good care of your vehicle! 170k kms is a pretty solid mileage! The issue you've come across does seem quite strange, but I'm pretty sure we can sort it out. From my experience, when the Navigation system says 'image data is invalid,' it could potentially mean that some of the map data files have gone corrupt. Here's what I'd suggest - try resetting your infotainment system to its factory settings. This might clear any minor errors or glitches. But remember, you'll lose personal settings and data, so keep that in mind. If that doesn't work, it might be more than just simple software glitch and could possibly be a hardware related problem. If you're still getting that pesky error after the reset, I'd recommend getting a professional to run a diagnostic. The guys at my local workshop were good at it. Fair pricing too, considering these electric parts can be rather temperamental. Anyways, let's keep our fingers crossed and hope it's just a minor hickey. Let me know how you get on! Cheers!
Hey, really appreciate your detailed response! I never contemplated the corrupt map data aspect, but it does make a lot of sense considering the error message. I'll give the reset a shot and see how that works out. Losing personal settings is a bit of a bother, but if it sorts the problem out, it's a small price to pay. If it still doesn't work, I'll probably have to follow your advice and head to the workshop. Just hope it doesn't leave a hole in my pocket! I'll keep you posted on the developments. Thanks again for your help, cheers!
Hey there! Had a similar gremlin with my 2018 Seat Ateca just a while back. I'd say I've got some experience tinkering with cars but I'm by no means a petrolhead or a mechanic. Took the issue to my local workshop and turns out, it was a Cable connection issue – paid around 155.00 Euro to get it fixed. Once the guys took care of that, my nav and audio were back in action. For me to help further, can you share more details like: Any recent modifications? Maybe some more information on the error messages? Cheers!
