Seeking Solutions for 2023 Seat Tarraco's Blower and Heating/Cooling Issues; Suspected AUC Sensor Signal Problem

Insufficient Cooling/Heating

|

Blower does not work properly

Hey everyone, I've got a strange issue with my 2023 Seat Tarraco that's running on gas. The blower is acting up and the heating/cooling isn't up to scratch. My initial guess is a possible AUC sensor signal issue, but I'm not completely sure. Has anyone else faced something similar and managed to fix it? What was your experience dealing with this at the repair shop? Appreciate any tips or insights. Thanks!

Hey there, coincidentally enough, I faced something similar with my 2021 Seat Ateca, little sibling of your Tarraco! Now, I’m no mechanic, but I've got some experience noodling around with cars. My hunch, like yours, turned towards a sensor issue. Took my Ateca to my regular workshop and turns out, the sensor itself was defective. It cost me about 90 Euro to have it replaced and the issue's been sorted since then. By the way, could you share more about your car specifics? Engine model, mileage, and anything else that stands out? It would help in giving more targeted advice. Good luck!

Hey! Thanks for the reply and your experience really helps. My Tarraco is equipped with a gasoline engine. As for the mileage, it's clocked at 178632 KM. Had it recently serviced and they didn't find any issues then. Since you mentioned defective sensor, I might get that checked out the next time I visit the workshop. Thanks again, I appreciate it!

Hey no worries, always glad to help out a fellow driver stuck in a pickle. Looking at your mileage, seems like the Tarraco has been munching those miles pretty well! Now, since you serviced it recently and they didn't find any issues then, it's a little strange they didn't catch this heating/cooling problem. In day-to-day functioning, a busted AUC sensor won't really affect your drive but will surely give you grief with insufficient cooling/heating. In case they missed it, I’d say head back to your workshop and specifically ask them to check the AUC sensor. They should be able to diagnose it and if the sensor's gone bad, get it replaced timely. It’s a minor expense that saves from the hassle later on. As a side note, blower acting up could also be due to a worn out blower motor or motor resistor. It's unlikely but worth a check if the AUC sensor turns out okay. Stay cool and let us know how it goes, okay? Keep us looped in!

Hey, once again appreciate the advice! I'll definitely get the AUC sensor checked out and perhaps ask them to take a look at the blower motor and the motor resistor just to be on the safe side. I'll let you know how it turns out after they had a good look at the car. Until then, cheers and drive safe!
