Seeking Solutions for 2021 Renault Arkana Hybrid Starting Issues and Error Message

Hey everyone, got a tricky situation with my 2021 Renault Arkana Hybrid here. It's not starting up, battery seems weak, dimming lights, and there's this worrying light on the speedometer. I'm suspecting an error message issue, but I'm not sure. Any insights on troubleshooting this? Really appreciate any recommendations or shared experiences of getting this fixed at the workshop. Cheers.

Hey there! I had a similar situation with my 2019 Renault Kadjar once, almost identical symptoms. While I'm no mechanic, I've had some experience with cars in the past. Worth a shot to check the Cable connection of the control unit, connection to the BUS system. This was my issue. Cost me about 260 euro at my local workshop to get it sorted. Could you share a bit more about the mileage, when was the last serviced, or any recent modifications? Knowing more could help narrow down the possibilities. Good luck!

Hey! Thanks for the advice. Had it serviced recently at 79,400 km, so it's relatively fresh from there, with no recent modifications. I'll definitely give your suggestion a shot and take a close look at the control unit cables! Saved your bill, hope mine won't rise above that. Cheers!

Hey, good to hear back! Knowing your Arkana Hybrid just had a service, it does make me more confident that it could be similar issue to mine. Despite being different models, Renaults sometimes have these common issues. Now, remember when you take it to a mechanic, ask them to thoroughly check the cable connection to the control unit and bus system. Sometimes, slightest of loose connections can mess up the car's electrical system, causing symptoms like you described. Avoid running the car with a weakened battery as well. It could strain other parts and make issues worse, so swap it out if it's unreliable. Again, not a professional here, but it's just what worked for me! Yes, fingers crossed on the repair cost. Nobody likes an expensive surprise! Keep us updated on how it goes. Good luck!

Cheers for the detailed response! Yeah, your points make total sense. I'll be sure to swap that battery out and ask the mechanic for a thorough check-up that you mentioned. Your insight has already been a big help. I'll keep you posted on how everything goes. Thanks for the good luck, reckon I'll need it!
