Seeking Solutions for 2021 Hyundai i10's Non-Working Navigation and Audio System Due to Suspected Invalid Image Data

Navigationssystem is not working

Audio system is not working

Hey! I'm dealing with a weird issue on my 2021 Hyundai i10 with a Gasoline engine. Both the navigation and audio system have stopped working and I suspect it might be due to invalid image data on the navigation system. Has anyone experienced something similar and got it fixed? Would appreciate hearing about your experiences and any troubleshooting tips. Thanks in advance!

Hey there! I once had a pretty similar issue with my 2023 Hyundai Accent. I'm not an expert by any means, but I do have some experience with cars. In my case, the problem turned out to be a faulty cable connection. I took it to my local workshop and theyaged to sort it out pretty quickly. It ended up costing me around 155 Euro, but it was worth it to get everything running smoothly again. Sounds like your issue could be cable-related as well, considering both systems are failing simultaneously. But to be sure, I could definitely help more if you could provide further details. Like, when did the problem start? Were there any error messages? Or was there a sudden shift in the performance? Hope it helps and you can solve your issue soon!

Hey there! Thanks for the quick response. Honestly, there weren't any specific error messages. Both systems just stopped working out of the blue about a week ago, and unfortunately, there was no sudden shift in performance either. I'll definitely consider your suggestion about the faulty cable. Oh, and since last service, I've covered about 71058 KM in my i10. Maybe it's just wear and tear? I'll make sure to get it checked at my local garage over the weekend. Cheers!

Hey, no problem! You could be right about the wear and tear. These systems do tend to play up as the vehicle gets on in years and racks up those KMs. Also, it's not uncommon for cables to get loose or damaged over time. Just a heads up though, there's a chance that it might not only be a wiring issue. There could be some problem in the hardware of the navigation and audio system. It would be best to give your garage a call and get a full diagnostics done. Might prevent any surprise breakdowns. Oh and in case it does turn out to be a hardware fault and you need to replace the systems, I'd recommend getting quotes from a few different places. Prices can vary quite a bit! Best of luck with your car and keep us posted on how it goes!

Hi again! Yeah, there's a possibility that it might be a hardware failure, and based on what you've said, I'll make sure to have a full diagnostics test done. I never thought about getting quotes from different places. That's a great tip for if I do need to replace the systems. Much obliged! I'll let you know how it goes after checking in with the garage. Thanks a bunch for your advice, really appreciate it! Cheers!
