Hey folks, I've got a peculiar issue with my 2019 Volvo S90 Diesel. It's throwing a check engine light, cutting out randomly, and even losing power occasionally. Sometimes she won't even start, and I noticed an abnormal warning light on the speedometer. From what I can tell, it seems like a fault stored in the engine control. Anybody ever dealt with this before? What did your mechanic do to fix it up? Would love to learn from your experiences. Thanks in advance!

Hey there, I've got a 2017 Volvo XC60 Diesel which had a similar issue not too long ago. I've got some experience, not an expert or anything, but I've tinkered around with cars a bit. Spotted a weird warning light on mine too, like yours. So, I took it to my local garage. The mechanic there did a diagnostic check and pointed out that it was an affected component causing all the trouble. Cost me a good 625 Euro to get it fixed! Sounds like you might be dealing with the same. Could you tell us more about your car’s mileage and any previous issues for a more accurate guess? Might help us help you better! Cheers!

Hey, Wow, sounds like a similar issue indeed. My S90 has chalked up to about 74,758 KM on the dial. As for previous issues, not really, she has been running smoothly after the servicing done last year except for the usual wear and tear. Close to pulling my hair out with this thing! Fingers crossed it's nothing same as you had. Thanks for the inside scoop, much appreciated! Catch you later!

Hey! Just did a bit of reminiscing and remembered something that might be helpful. My Volvo was around the same mileage when the issues popped up. Given what you've told me about your S90's history, we might just be doppelganger cars! If it really is what I had, don't stress too much. The repair was pretty straight-forward. My mechanic replaced the faulty component and cleared the error code. My car's been smooth sailing ever since. So, it's not the end of the world! Of course, get it checked out properly. Each car's a different beast and all, but it wouldn't hurt to know you might be in for a simple fix. Keep us posted on how it goes, yeah? Crossing my fingers for you! Stay cool!

Heya, Thanks for the reassurances! You've got a way of making this whole kerfuffle seem less daunting, m'friend! Well, it's some comfort to know that our Volvos could be glitchy twins, as weird as that sounds. It'll be a miracle if it turns out to be just a faulty component and not some catastrophic engine failure. Phew! Looks like I've got a little assignment for the weekend. Booked an appointment with my trusted garage blokes. Armed with your invaluable tips, I'll have something to start with for the diagnostic chat. Will keep you all in the loop. Ta for all the help! Until we chat again!
