Hey! Thanks a million for sharing your experience. That does seem like a potential fix for my convertible top issue, albeit the cost is kinda steep. My Scudo doesn't have any big mods or custom installations. It's mostly factory except for the upgraded stereo system I got in there. Mileage's at 44822 km and the last service was done pretty recently. Anyway, I'm gonna give that coding a go. Will probably take her in to the local mechanic and see what he says. I'll keep you guys updated. Thanks again, Champ!
Hey, no worries! Glad I could help out even if just a smudge. I reckon the upgraded stereo system wouldn’t influence your convertible top or the warning light. Coding can indeed seem a bit steep, but it did sort my issue out. Plus, it can also get rid of that pesky warning light on your speedometer, which, trust me, is totally worth it. Depending on your mechanic, you might swing a better deal, or you could inquire about a payment plan if they offer one. And by the by, kudos for keeping your ride in tip-top shape with regular service. That mileage is still pretty decent for a 2010 Fiat Scudo. Anyway, fingers crossed that your mechanic can set you straight and this won't cause you any more stress. Best of luck with it, and do let us know how you get on. Cheers!
Cheers! No harm in giving it a shot, eh? Trust me, getting rid of that warning light alone will make my day. I'll check with my mechanic regarding that payment plan, fingers crossed on that. I'll certainly keep the thread updated with any progress. Thanks again for your insights, really appreciate it. Take care and keep revving!
Hey there, I had a strikingly similar issue with my 2008 Fiat Ducato 3.0 diesel, so I reckon I've got some experience to share. Though, I should forewarn you, my car knowledge is on the lower end of the scale, mainly what I've picked up over the years. Anyway, my hood wouldn't budge either and that pesky warning light was my constant companion. Took me a bit of a headache and a trip to my local mechanic. Turned out, the bloke had to do a coding on the vehicle, said something about sunroof calibration. Cost me a tidy sum of 75 Euro, but my convertible's been behaving ever since. I'd need to know the specifics about your Scudo though, like any mods or custom installations you've got in there, to offer more targeted advice. Keeps us posted, eh? Good luck!
