Hey there, Good to know I'm not the only one wrestling with this kind of hitch. Your experience sounds way too familiar - almost like déjà vu! I reckon I might have the same problem with my fuel filter. So I'm guessing I'd have to shell out for a new one, right? If you don’t mind me asking, do you remember how much the whole repair set you back? And has anything else cropped up since the fix? It's always good to know what I'm getting myself into ahead of time. Thanks a lot!
Hey! I totally get where you're coming from, it's always better to know what kind of deal you're getting into. Yes, I had to get a new fuel filter, but here’s the kicker, it wasn’t crazy expensive. I got the fuel filter replaced and the error entry fixed—which was due to the fuel injection pressure issue, and believe it or not, it only cost me 45 quid. Absolute steal right? As for how my car's been behaving since seeing the mechanic - well, she’s running smoothly! Ever since the fix, my fuel injection pressure's been staying on point. No more deviation from the standard value! So—I'd say—it's worth every penny. Remember, if the problem is indeed what you suspect, better get it dealt with pronto. Good luck with your Kia Venga!
Hey! That actually doesn’t sound like as much of a setback as I expected, thanks for the info! Better 45 quid now than to risk a full-blown engine breakdown later, right? I appreciate your reassurance, and it's great to hear your car's been running better post-fix! I'm glad I reached out - there's nothing quite like advice from someone who's been through the same ordeal. Now, I'm off to find a mechanic who knows their stuff. Wish me luck, and cheers again for the help!
Hey! Your problem sounds much like what I had with my 2014 Kia Soul last year. My symptoms were pretty much identical, and yeah, I was also dealing with a stubborn check engine light. Guess what? You're quite on track. My mechanic confirmed the issue was indeed due to inconsistent fuel pressure caused by a wonky fuel filter. There was a bunch of sediments collected over time causing chaos in there. But no worries, it wasn't a serious issue. We ended up replacing the whole fuel filter. After this, my engine stopped playing hide and seek and the check engine light turned off. Smoother idling, no annoying stalling, and the black smoke along with the fumes were history. I'm guessing yours isn’t that bad yet, but that's how it's sorted anyway. Good luck, dude!
