Seeking Recommendations for Trustworthy Mechanics and Advice on Hyundai Terracan's Park Distance Control Issue

Fault stored

Hey! I've got a weird issue with my '03 Hyundai Terracan (gasoline, around 58K Km on it). Lately, my park distance control's gone kaput, I've got a general electric hitch, the system stored a fault, and there's this pesky warning light on my speedometer. I'm kinda thinking it might be a busted radar sensor, but I ain't no expert. Last mechanic I saw wasn't worth a nickel, to be honest. Has anyone else had this sorta problem and can recommend me a decent, trustworthy mechanic? I'm all ears for any advice y'all got!

Hey, had a similar problem with my '06 Tucson not too long ago. My mechanic narrowed it down to a dirty sensor messing up my park distance control. Wasn't exactly a world-ending issue, but still a bit of a bother, you know? The work they did was pretty straightforward - some cleaning and resetting of the system. I think your hunch might be spot on. I'd recommend finding a mechanic who knows a thing or two about Hyundai's tech stuff. They really did wonders with mine, and I haven't had a peep from any pesky warning lights since. Good luck!

Hey there, cheers for sharing your experience! Your '06 Tucson ordeal sounds a bit like my case with my Terracan. I really hope a proper clean and reset will sort out my park distance control. Can you recall the dent this made in your wallet though? Also, have you had any more issues or was it smooth sailing after the fix? A 's got to budget, you know? Ha!

Hey, yeah I remember cringing a bit when I had to dish out the dough for my Tucson's sensor cleaning. But it wasn't too bad - set me back by about 45 €. Once that was sorted, everything fell into place like a dream. And you'll be pleased to know, ever since the mechanic did his magic, my radar sensor has been working like a well-oiled machine, no complaints whatsoever! So if you ask me, get your radar sensor seen to, it's worth every penny! Just make sure you go to a knowledgeable mechanic this time. And remember, a good mechanic is worth his weight in gold! Good luck with your Terracan and keep us updated!
