Hey! Ahh, so it's something to do with the Climate Control Unit and the blower motor then? That's a bit more serious than I had hoped, but I'm glad to hear it was manageable for you. I was wondering, if you don't mind sharing, about how much did you have to shell out to get it all fixed? And since the job's been done, have you had any more problems pop up related to this? Thanks a bunch I appreciate your help!

Hey! Yep, you've got it spot on! The woes were indeed down to the Climate Control Unit and blower motor. As for the cost, I ended up parting ways with around 880.00 €, but to be honest, considering the hassle it was causing me, I reckon it was money well spent. Since I entrusted my '07 Seat Ibiza to the mechanic, fingers crossed, she's been humming along without a grumble from the air conditioning - total bliss! Despite the initial shock to my bank account, knowing that I've put the issue to bed has given me peace of mind. So yeah while it might seem a bit steep initially, don't ignore this issue and find yourself a good mechanic who knows their stuff. You definitely don't want this problem creeping back later. All the best with it!

Hey! 880.00 €? That's definitely a painful amount, but it sounds like it was worth the relief in the long run. At least now I have an idea of what I might be spending. It sounds like a bit of a mission to get sorted, but seems better than risking it getting worse. Thanks for sharing your experience it's really put things into perspective for me. Now I just gotta find a good mechanic who won't fleece me. Wish me luck, and cheers again!

Hey there! Definitely sounds like you're having trouble with your Climate Control Unit (CCU). I had a similar issue with my '07 Seat Ibiza a while back. All sorts of weird behavior from the heating and cooling system, similar to yours. Turns out the CCU was defective. To fix it, the garage needed to take out the old unit and put in a new one. The blower motor also needed some attention - they had to clean and service it. So it was a bit of a serious issue, but thankfully it was manageable. The job wasn't a walk in the park though. The guys at the workshop had to go behind the dashboard and the removal of the unit was a bit tricky. But once they replaced it and serviced the blower motor, everything was back to its old self again. All in all, I'd recommend you look into it sooner rather than later. Not something you wanna ignore for too long. Best of luck!
