Hey! Reading your story gave me a sense of relief. Seems like I'm not the only guy who's gone through this. Reckon it's a bigger issue than it seemed at first. Your CAN Bus system issue sounds awfully similar to what I'm dealing with. I'm curious to know, how much did that set you back to fix? Also, since the fix, have you stumbled upon any more issues or was that the end of it? Would love to hear more. Cheers!
Hey there! Well, fixing the old CAN Bus didn't exactly come cheap, but it didn't break the bank either. Had to part with about 235.00 € to get her purring smoothly again. It's one of those things, you know, you gotta bite the bullet, or the bugger just won't let up. As for glitches after the fix - nada, my friend! Ever since that trip to the mechanic, she's been running like clockwork. No more Message error between the control devices, no more head-scratching. Seems like they did a spot-on job. So, fingers crossed your beast will be back on the road with no dramas after the fix. Drop me a line if you need any more info, happy to help. Cheers!
Hey, thanks for the response! That's a bit steep, but as you said, you sometimes have to bite the bullet. Can't put a price on peace of mind, right? Pretty encouraging to hear you've been smooth-sailing after the fix. Definitely planning to visit Joe's Garage, your glowing review has sold me. Sounds like they've got a knack for this complicated stuff. Welp, fingers crossed my ride doesn't throw up any more surprises. Could do without the extra drama! I'll be sure to get back to you if I stumble into any more problems. Can't thank you enough for the info. Means a lot! Take care and ride safe! Cheers!
Hey! Well, you're in luck because I had a similar issue with my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe a couple months ago. My Bluetooth, speakers, navigation, basically everything electronic went really wonky. Turned out it was the CAN Bus system that was damaged. The CAN bus is how your car's various control devices communicate, so your suspicion about a message error could be spot on. Now, it wasn't exactly a walk in the park to fix. They had to do a fair bit of diagnostic work to trace the issue, because CAN Bus issues can be tricky to pinpoint, and then it was a decent bit of work to fix. They ended up having to replace some disgruntled wiring to get things back on track. That said, it doesn't have to be a total nightmare if you've got a good mechanic. I took mine to Joe's Garage down on Elm Street, and they did a top-notch job. They know their way around modern systems like this, and they generally don't keep your car hostage for weeks at a time. Keep your chin up it's not an issue that'll total your car or anything. Just needs someone who knows what they're looking at to get you sorted. Best of luck!
