Hey, thanks for your reply! Sounds like we're sailing on the same boat with our Kia troubles! I'm definitely going to have the battery checked, seems like a lead based on your experience. Just curious, do you recall how much that whole fix set you back? And has anything else popped up since then? Cheers for the help!
Hey there! Yeah, those Kia woes seem to be a common voyage for some of us. Regarding the cost, it was about 290.00 € for sorting out the battery problem. It might give you a jolt, but remember, a smooth ride's priceless, right? And since that trip to the mechanic, everything's been hunky-dory, including the engine start-stop system. No more blinky lights or any of the other headaches. So, I'd say, get that battery checked out and hopefully, you'll sail into calmer waters with your Kia. Best of luck!
Appreciate your input! A couple of hundreds does sound fair if it stops my Carnival from acting like a haunted house on wheels. Keeping my fingers crossed the issue's the battery, just as in your case. Anyways, you've given me a solid starting point and I'm off to my local garage tomorrow. Thanks for being a lifesaver!
Hey, had a similar issue with my 2004 Kia Sorento not too long ago. Car wouldn't start, warning lights all over, the works. Almost drove me completely batty. Turns out it was a weak battery giving me grief. Having issues with the engine start-stop and other symptoms like flickering lights, high fuel consumption, these signs definitely pointed to a battery issue. In my case, found out the battery couldn't hold a charge. Took it down to the local garage. Besides the battery replacement itself, the lads gave the whole electrical system a good once-over, turned out the alternator belt needed to be tightened a bit too. All got sorted by the end of the day, ran like a dream afterwards. So, bad battery, not exactly a catastrophe, but still a serious issue, right? Batteries generally need replacing every 3-5 years, but depends how you're using the car as well. Best advice I can give? Find yourself a garage you trust, get them to check it out. Could be a few things happening at once, hence the chaos. Good luck with it!
