Seeking Advice: Non-Functional Heated Windows in 2022 Hyundai Venue

Fault stored

Heated windows without function

Hey! I've got a 2022 Hyundai Venue, gasoline-type, clocking in at around 57,507 km and I'm going through a bit of a rough patch. The heated windows just don't seem to work, and unfortunately, faults keep popping up. I'm guessing the windscreen heating is on the fritz, but I'd love to hear from any of you who've experienced something similar. Last mechanic visit didn't go as planned, so any advice on sorting this out or reliable mechanic recommendations would be massively helpful!

Hey there! I've got a 2019 Hyundai Kona right here and ran into a somewhat similar battery-drain issue a while back. My heated windows were messing up and I was also gettin' a bunch of weird fault notifications. The culprit turned out to be a dying battery. Had it checked out at my usual garage, and they spotted it right away. Dead as a doornail! I reckon the systems were throwing alarms left and right because they weren't getting the charge they needed. Replaced that bad boy and voila - everything was back to normal. So, might be worth getting your battery inspected by a reliable mechanic. These electrical symptoms, as I found out, sometimes sing battery blues. Oh, and no, it wasn't a mega-serious issue, just a bit of a hassle cause it was unexpected. Hope this helps you!

Hey there! It's such a relief knowing someone experienced something similar with their Hyundai! Cheers for the battery tip - I hadn't thought about that one. If you don't mind me asking, do you recall how much you had to shell out for a new battery and the labour to get it fixed? And since your battery tribulations, did anything else crop up that I should be wary of?

Hey! So glad my previous responses were beneficial for you. Now, regarding the battery replacement, it set me back around 290.00 €. That cost included both the new battery and the labour to swap it out. Not the cheapest of fixes, but hey, gotta keep the ride healthy, right? Now, on the question of the heated windscreen, since having the car battery issues sorted out by the mechanic, things have been just peachy. The function of the windscreen heating quickly bounced back to normal. So, rest assured, if your issue is similar to mine, getting that battery replaced should do the trick! Of course, every car is its own beast, so keep an eye out for other little quirks that might pop up in the future. Always better safe than sorry! Safe driving!

You're a lifesaver! At least, now I have a lead on what to look into next. Healthy ride indeed! 290.00 € does sound a bit steep, but if it sorts out the issue and gives me a warmer ride, I'm all for it. Better than paying for repeated visits to the mechanic and still not solving the problem, right? And duly noted about keeping an eye out for other potential issues. Can't thank you enough for your advice and well wishes. Drive safe too, bud!
