Not exactly pocket change, but it worked - the carnival of lights on my dash finally stopped. And to answer your second question, I haven't encountered any subsequent issues — knock on wood. My Veloster's been running pretty smoothly since then. Oh, and regarding your initial thought, it turned out to be a damper adjustment issue in my case earlier, but I had that taken care of post seeing my mechanic.
