Hey there! Good to hear your crew sorted out your GTI issue in a jiffy. Fingers crossed, I'll hit a similar lucky break. Just gotta brace myself for the bill, I suppose. By the by, do you recall what hole that sensor mischief burned in your pocket? And has your whip been on its best behavior since the fix? No pesky warning lights haunting you? Cheers!
Hey there! Well the cost to sort out that buggy acceleration sensor wasn't exactly a joy to my wallet. Shelled out about €315.0. But you gotta do what you gotta do to keep the beast running, right? On a happier note, since the crew worked their magic, the old girl has been behaving pretty well. No more lights popping up on the dash, I'm glad to say. The Active Hood malfunction was nipped in the bud, ever since the mechanic seen to it, touch wood. I hope you also get similar results - expensive but worth it, and less stress down the road! Cheers!
Thanks for the heads up! 315 Euro, eh? Not exactly pocket change, but as you say, gotta keep the wheels turning. It's comforting, though, to know that once it's sorted, the warning lights will do one, and I won't have to worry about them anymore. I'll be scheduling a rendezvous with my mechanic first thing in the morning. I'll hold a good thought that it all goes smoothly. Nice chatting with you! Ta for the help. Cheers!
Hey! Just experienced this kind of issue with my 2012 VW Golf GTI about three months ago. Like yours, my ride was showing some odd warning lights on the dash. Took it to the garage, found out it was indeed a defective acceleration sensor. They spotted the issue pretty quickly and without much ado, starting work on replacing the sensor. It wasn't a minor issue given that it can affect your car's stability control system, but rest assured, it's definitely fixable. The crew at the garage handled it like pros. So while it's inconvenient, don't worry too much. It's an identifiable issue that experienced mechanics should be able to sort out. Keep your fingers crossed and hope your car's back in top shape soon.
