Seeking Advice on Uneven Ride Height and Excessive Bouncing in 2021 Seat Tarraco Diesel

Uneven Ride Height

Excessive Bouncing

Hey folks, I've noticed something off with my 2021 Seat Tarraco Diesel. It's been having uneven ride height and excessive bouncing that I've never seen before. I suspect it might be due to a restriction in the height control function, but can't pin it down. Has anyone else experienced this and got it sorted at the workshop? Any advice or specific troubleshooting tips would be really appreciated!

Hey there! I had a similar situation with my 2019 Seat Ateca Petrol. I'd classify myself as having low experience with cars, but luckily, I learned something from my situation. The issue was due to a defective cable connection on the sensor. My local garage folks were great and replaced it for me. Ended up costing me about 155.00 Euro. By the way, can you tell me which model exactly is your Tarraco? Might be able to help a bit more then. Cheers!

Hey, thanks for the swift response! Good to know you sorted it out. Mine's a Tarraco Xcellence, 2021 model. Has served me about 133017 KM already, so it's not exactly brand new and I feel like it's due for a bit of TLC. Will try to check on the sensor as you mention, that sounds like a good start. Cheers!

Hey! Good to hear back from you. Nice, the Tarraco Xcellence, solid ride! Well, considering the mileage and the symptoms, I’d definitely recommend starting with the sensor check. My mechanic mentioned that a highly frequent cause of such issues is just a faulty sensor or at worst, a busted shock absorber. I reckon a visit to a professional wouldn't hurt, just to be on the safe side. Remember cost doesn't always correlate with quality, so take time exploring your options for local shops. Ride safe and keep us updated!

Thanks a ton for the advice. Yup, the Tarraco has been a beast, hasn't given me much trouble until now. I'll definitely look into the sensor and if need be, the shock absorber. Really appreciate your heads up on the cost-quality aspect too, I'll keep that in mind when I'm hunting for a reliable mechanic. Will keep you folks posted on what happens. Cheers and drive safe!
