Seeking Advice on Troubleshooting Uneven Ride Height and Excessive Bouncing in 2018 Mazda Bongo Gasoline

Excessive Bouncing

Uneven Ride Height

Hey all, I'm having a bit of a puzzle with my 2018 Mazda Bongo Gasoline. Lately, I've noticed that the ride height's uneven and she's bouncing a lot more than normal. I suspect the height sensor might be on the fritz somehow. Anyone run into this issue before and managed to get it sorted at a workshop? Any tips, first-hand experiences or recommendations on how to troubleshoot and fix this would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!

Hey there! Just so happens, I had the same glitch on my 2016 Mazda Biante Diesel. Not the most pro mechanic, but I know some basic car stuff. Took it to my trusted workshop, it turned out to be a faulty cable connection on the sensor. As painful as it was, parting with 155 Euro got everything sorted and running smooth again. By the way, knowing your exact model might give me a bit more insight to help further. Cheers!

Thanks for your reply! This gives me a bit of a guidance. Funny enough, even after the last service I completed at the dealership, the problem wasn't solved, maybe I'll try another workshop this time. It's comforting to know that the issue could be solved with a bit of work. Cheers for the 155 Euro heads up, got to prepare for that. Btw, my Bongo is a 2018 model and I've clocked 78155 KM on it.

Hey, you're welcome! Sounds like we're in quite similar boats with our Mazdas. From my experience, I'd definitely suggest another workshop if the dealership couldn't resolve the issue. Just a heads up though, the fix got mine back on level ground, but she's still not as spry as she used to be. Each Bongo might react differently though, so your 2018 could bounce back better than my 2016. Can't make any promises about yours, but for your sake, I hope it does. Don't forget to check for cable faults thoroughly. Best of luck with the repair!

I appreciate your advice! Yeah, this Bongo is giving me a run for my money. Guess, I'll have a new workshop give it a look and hopefully she'll get back to her old self or better yet, improve her performance. Good call on looking out for the cable faults, will definitely keep that in mind. Here's hoping our four-wheeled buddies keep running for a long long time! Thank you once again for all your help, it's been really useful. Good luck to you too and safe driving!
