Hey, thanks for the helpful insights! It's been tough with my Arkana indeed. My mileage is now at 115567 km. I had the last service around six months ago. Accompanied by the usual stuff, they changed the air filter and adjusted the hybrid system. But it seems the troubles started after that. You're right, it's not a spaceship, but sometimes it feels like it. I'll consider the defective cable connections you suggested and pay a visit to my mechanic. Thanks again for your assistance!
Hey again! I see you've got a considerable chunk of mileage on your Arkana. The issues you're experiencing could be related to general wear and tear too, given the mileage. The recent service, especially with adjustments to the hybrid system, might also be a contributing factor, though I wouldn't stress over that too much just yet. A word of advice from my own experience, when you check in with your mechanic, also ask him to take a look at the turbocharger and EGR valve. Faulty parts there could also trigger similar symptoms to what you're experiencing, especially the emissions (black smoke and the strong exhaust smell). But like I said earlier, it's no spaceship and every issue has a way out! Keep us posted on how it goes. Fingers crossed, you’ll be out of these murky waters in no time. Cheers!
Thanks again for the tip! It indeed gives me a new perspective on this issue. The turbocharger and EGR valve were not on my list until now. I'm going to do exactly what you suggested and ask my mechanic to check things out. It's clear for me now that there could be a few different things causing this trouble. I'll definitely keep everyone updated here. Let's hope she'll be running like a dream again soon! Cheers for all the advice, I really appreciate it!
Hey there. Sounds you're having a bit of a rough ride with your Arkana there. I had a similar situation with my 2019 Renault Kadjar, slightly older model but quite similar in many ways, same brand as well. I'm not an expert by any means, but I've tinkered with cars a fair bit, so a bit of experience. I brought mine to my local workshop, and they detected defective cable connections as the culprit. That was causing all sort of mayhem like you're experiencing. Got it fixed for a pretty decent €95, and my Kadjar's been running like a champ since then. But that's my model, yours might be a bit different, considering it’s a hybrid. We need a tad more details about your vehicle for a more accurate pointer. What's your mileage and have there been any recent changes or services to your car? Remember this is a car, not a spaceship. No problem comes without a solution. Just hang in there!
