Hey, thanks for chiming in! My Tarraco hasn't had any past issues with the door lock system or any related repairs. As for the gas controller, it's the factory standard one, haven't changed anything there. My mileage is a hefty 137786 KM at the moment, but it had its last service around the 130000KM mark. Everything was fine back then. I'll definitely take your advice about the local workshop into consideration though, and might bring it in if it persists. Cheers!

Hey again! Based on your mileage and recent service, it doesn't look like this issue is due to standard wear and tear. I'd suspect either a faulty door lock actuator or a problem with the gas controller impacting your electrical system. About a year ago, when my Leon had a similar issue, it was also behaving a tad erratically. The tech at the workshop said it was caused by either a weakened battery or a dodgy alternator. They tested both and indeed found my alternator was bad, which was why my lights were dimming and flickering. Since your Tarraco is running on gas, it might be that the gas conversion system is somehow affecting the electrics and causing these issues. It wouldn't hurt to check the alternator and battery just to be sure. Remember, the info I'm providing is based on my own experiences and your situation might be different. But a 100% definite way to identify and fix the issue would be to take your Tarraco to a reliable workshop. At the end of the day, that's what I did and it solved my problem. Hope it sorts out your lock and light issue too! Best of luck!

Hey again, I really appreciate your second input! The link between the alternator and the flickering lights makes a lot of sense. I never would have considered the gas conversion system impacting the electrics. Looks like it's time to take my Tarraco down to the local workshop to sort it all out. Better be safe than sorry, right? Thanks again for your help. It's always great to get insight from someone who's had a similar issue. Wish me luck! Cheers!

Hey there! Just wanted to share my two cents. I had a similar issue with my 2019 Seat Leon running on petrol. I'm not the most seasoned in car repair, but I've got a bit experience under my belt. Turns out, it was indeed the cable connection from the outside door handle to the control unit that was defective. Had to take it down to my trusty local workshop to get it fixed. They did a great job, sorting it out for 110.00 Euro. But, to be more specific to your situation, could I ask what the model of your gas controller is or if there have been any past repairs related to this? Maybe then, I could help a bit more.
