Hey there! Your situation sounds like a mirror image of mine, seriously! Now you've got me thinking about that valve servomotor in my Arkana. I'll get that checked out asap. And yeah, the metal in the oil thing had me breaking into cold sweats. Definitely don't want anything messing up my engine's internals. Hey, remember how much dough you had to shell out for your issues? And has anything else popped up since the fix? Cheers!
Hey, Absolutely, it's like looking into a car troubles mirror! About the costs, I did have to fish out about 405€ to get that dreadful valve servomotor situation taken care of. Hurt my wallet a bit, but man, it got rid of that gnarly noise and the engine's been running smooth ever since. Oh, and about that whole camshaft adjustment error, since getting things checked up and sorted by my mechanic, the trouble has been nixed. Hasn't caused even a smidge of an issue since! So yeah, apart from a lighter pocket, the fixes have been a total game changer and my Kadjar's not guzzling fuel like a thirsty camel anymore. Haven't had any new issues pop up either since the mechanic worked his magic on her. Hope this helps out with your Arkana! Cheers!
Hey! Good to hear that your insidious car troubles are in the rearview mirror after the mechanic waved his magic wand. Must be a huge relief, indeed! I agree, €405 sounds like a hefty sum, but given the mechanical chaos I’m battling, it seems a worthy investment to regain my quiet and smooth rides. Your experience and advice have given me a good direction. I’m going to dive right into sorting out the camshaft adjustment and the valve servomotor business pronto. Let's see how my Arkana holds up post the pricey love it's about to receive! Btw, Fingers crossed that no more unpleasant surprises pop up for both of us (knock on wood). Thanks a ton for sharing your experience and insights. Cheers!
Hey, Seems like you're dealing with a bit of a drainer, ain't ya? Can totally relate, was in a similar soup with my 2020 Renault Kadjar, similar mileage to yours as well. The symptoms were a bit identical - check engine light, reduced engine power, rough idling and a jerky drive. Yup, quite a nightmare, right? And man, oh man, that valve adjustment noise, it's something you can't overlook. Turned out, there was an issue with the valve servomotor. So yeah, going by your mystery, looks like you might be heading down the same lane. They had to replace mine - it was certainly making the engine act all funny and causing it to guzzle fuel. The metal in the oil got me worried as well. In my case, they ran a full engine check to find the source of those pesky metal shavings. The last thing you want is for something to cause havoc to your engine's internals. This isn't something to be taken lightly. Get the valve servomotor and those metal bits sorted immediately. It's quite a major issue. Best of luck with your Arkana! Cheers!
