Seeking Advice on Troubleshooting Fuel Level Sensor Issues in 2024 Seat Tarraco

Hey there. I've got a 2022 Seat Leon, pretty similar to your Tarraco. I'm no mechanic or anything, just some lad who likes cars and knows a bit about them. A while ago, I had a strikingly similar problem. Same bad mileage, same nasty fumes. Drove me nuts. Ended up having troubles with the wiring harness/plug - it was defective. Took it to my local garage, decent blokes. They had me sorted for about 95 Euro, not too steep, really. They suggested I keep an eye on the 'check engine' light for a while, just to be safe, but it's been driving smooth since. I reckon it's worth asking - you recently had any work done on your car? Actually, the last service was done when the odometer was at 130562 KM kms, but they didn't find anything major at that time, just the usual stuff. Guess I'll have to head back to the garage and ask them to specifically check the wiring harness, could be a similar issue to what you went through.
