Hey, appreciate your help! Been a while since I replaced the battery so that might just be it. My Hyundai Santro's mileage is at about 121,896 KM at the moment. Last service was not too long ago, but they didn't mention anything about the battery, so didn't give it much thought, you know. I'll follow your tip and get it checked out at the workshop. Thanks again, much appreciated!
No problem at all,, glad I could help! At that mileage, it's definitely possible your battery needs a look, especially if it's not been changed in a while. The symptoms you've mentioned do ring a bell. When my battery was on the outs, my ride wouldn't start easily, my fuel consumption was all over the place, and I had some pesky dashboard lights cropping up. The flickering headlights you described can also be a telltale sign of a dodgy battery. It's odd that your last service didn't mention anything about your battery, but hey, sometimes stuff gets overlooked. I'd suggest talking to them about your suspicion, it could save you a lot of guessing work. Remember to keep an eye on your car even after you sort the battery out, though. If the start-stop system was indeed faulty and relying on a struggling battery, there could have been other components affected which might need attention later. Good luck with it I hope it all turns out perfect. Looking forward to the day that beast gets back on the road smooth and steady!
Hey, can't thank you enough for all your advice and good vibes. Ya, I'll definitely bring up the battery issue when I take her to the workshop, and mention the start-stop system as well. Gotta get the old girl back in fighting shape, and hopefully, your positive guesswork is on the money. Sure, I'll keep an eye for any other niggles and let's hope this will sort everything out. Your experience and insight have been super helpful,. Thanks heaps, really appreciate all your help. Can't wait to get back on the road without a care, fingers crossed!
Hey there,! I've got a '16 Hyundai i10 which had a pretty similar issue not long ago. I don't have a ton of car knowledge, but I know some basics. My workshop experience was smooth overall. They said my issue was a weak/defective battery. So I swapped it out and ended up shelling out around 290€. That fixed all the warning lights, strange fuel consumption, and starter issues I was dealing with. But, hey, I can only talk from my experience. You might still want to get yours checked out. What's your car's mileage been like recently? And when was the last time you had the battery changed? That might help give us a bit more insight into what’s happening with your ride. Cheers!
