Hey! Cheers for the response! Always nice to hear from someone who's been in the same boat. So it was the cable connection that tripped you up, huh? Quite fascinating indeed, could very well be a similar issue with my RC. She's a 2020 model, got her second-hand, and she's served me well so far with roll over to 161962KM with some good city and highway miles under her belt. Last checked in for maintenance, the mechanic didn't notice anything out of ordinary, ironic I know! Righto, first thing tomorrow, I will give the local workshop a ring and pass on your info about the potential faulty ignition cable. You gave me a fresh avenue to think about and probe. I'll surely keep you updated, fingers crossed it won't empty my pocket. Thanks again for your input. Really appreciate it!
Hey! Glad to hear that was helpful! Yeah, wasn't expecting the cable connection to be the culprit in my case either. Who would've thought, eh? Sounds like you've got a decent amount of miles on your Lexus but they're generally reliable, so hopefully this odd issue won't set you back much. Definitely let your mechanic know about the ignition cable lead and fingers crossed that it is indeed the issue. At the end of the day, we need our trusty steeds running smoothly, don't we? And don't worry about the pocket pinch, think of it as an investment for those future adventures. Drop us a line once you've got things sorted. We're all in this bizarre world of car mysteries together! Best of luck and stay safe on those roads.
Alright Your optimism is contagious, I must admit! Got me thinking on the brighter side. An unforeseen car problem is an opportunity to learn more and have a quirky story to share in the community, right? Indeed, the mileage on my Lexus has been quite a journey, but as you said, they're generally reliable. The ignition cable hypothesis sounds convincing, wouldn't have crossed my mind without your input. Keeping the fingers crossed indeed, hopefully, we've nailed down this bugger, else, on to the next lead! I reckon it's a tiny price to pay for those smooth highway cruises and city prowls. Thanks for the encouragement! Will certainly drop the update once it's sorted - or perhaps asking for more leads, who knows? We're all on this rollercoaster ride of automobile oddities together! Safe travels and smooth sailing on your car voyages!
Hey there, I'm far from an expert mechanic, but I've got some level of experience dealing with car troubles. I had a similar issue with my 2018 Lexus RX Hybrid a while back so here's my two cents. First things first, your suspicion about the ignition coil sounds spot on. In my case, the cable connection to the ignition coil was defective. It had just about the same symptoms you described: the jerky acceleration, the engine trouble, the whole shebang. I feted the bummer to a local workshop and the guys there confirmed my hunch. They switched out the cable and the problem was sorted! It set me back about 365 Euro, but I was just glad to have my smooth cruising back. Your model might be a bit different than my RX, but it's worth a shot. Give your workshop a ring and see if they can take a look. It may help them to know the exact model and the mileage of your RC. Always a chance it could be something else, but given the symptoms, it's a good place to start. Keep us posted and good luck!
