Seeking Advice on Troubleshooting Electrical and Navigation System Issues in 2022 Nissan XTrail

General electric malfunction

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Navigationssystem is not working

Hey folks! I'm grappling with some tech issues on my 2022 Nissan XTrail with a gasoline engine. I'm dealing with a general electrical glitch, no-go navigation system, and a pesky warning light on the speedometer. I've got a hunch about incorrect coding being the culprit, but would love to hear from anyone who's been down this road before. Any tips or troubleshooting advice? How did you handle this at your workshop? Looking forward to your experiences and suggestions. Thanks!

Hey there! I've got some experience under the hood, especially with my trusty 2020 Nissan Rogue, so maybe I can shed some light on your situation. Had a similar glitch with mine - Turned out to be a faulty control unit. Took it to my usual workshop and after a bit of diagnostics, we zeroed in on the problem. The fix set me back a cool 1000 Euro, but it was worth it to get everything back in order. Just a quick question though, have you had any aftermarket modifications on your XTrail? Mods can sometimes mess with the electronic systems. Plus, knowing a bit more about your vehicle could help me give more tailored advice. Cheers!

Hiya! Thanks for hitting back with some advice. Truly appreciate it. No, I haven't made any aftermarket modifications on my XTrail. She's just as she was when I drove her off the lot. Btw, she's done 111415 KM on the road so far, her last service was pretty recent too. Though the problem surfaced after the service, I wonder if there's a connection? Thanks again for shedding light on this!

G'day again! Back to your puzzle, it's quite strange. If there are no mods, the electronic system, especially the navigation, should be working smoothly after a recent service. But well, machines can be unpredictable! You mentioned that the problems came up after the service. It's possible that something might have got misaligned, disconnected, or even short during the service. Or maybe there was an error during an update to your navigation system? Have you tried to do a system reset? Sometimes, this can solve the problem. If not, I would recommend taking your XTrail back to the workshop where you got it serviced. Have them do a thorough check specifically asking them to check for any changes they've made during the service. Make sure they do a full diagnostic run to spot any hidden issues. You might also need them to recode the vehicle if the system was incorrectly coded after the initial service. Hope this helps. Fingers crossed everything gets sorted!

Absolutely, your advice does put things into perspective. I hadn't given the system reset a thought, but it does sound like a golden shot worth trying. And if all else fails, tracking back to the workshop seems to be the only logical step. I'll poke them into a thorough checkup and look keenly into the recoding situation. Fingers crossed it won't burn a hole in my pocket. Just another day with machines, eh? Anyways, appreciate you offering a hand. Thanks a ton and cheers!
