Hi there, thank you so much for your response. It's brought some relief to know I'm not alone with this problem. To answer your questions: I haven't done any modifications to my NV and its mileage stands at around 157526 KM. I just had it serviced a couple of weeks ago, but the problem didn't show up until a few days back. Wondering if I should just get that defective cable replaced at a local workshop as you suggest! Thanks again for your help, much appreciated!

Hey again! Yep, you definitely aren't alone in this - seems like a few folks with the newer Nissan Diesels have been experiencing similar problems. With your mileage, you've clearly been giving your NV some love on the road, but these things do happen anyway. As for the defective cable – it's certainly worth a shot to have it checked. I'd recommend getting your NV to a trustworthy workshop, ideally someone who specifically knows their Nissan Diesels, and let them take a look at the communication between the control devices. They'll be able to tell if that's truly where the fault lies. It might well turn out to be the cable, like my Rogue, but you don’t want to spend money replacing parts before your mechanic has a solid diagnosis. These electrical glitches can come from several sources, so it's always best to get a clear reading on the problem before rushing to any fixes. And oh, the workshop might want to run a diagnostic on the navigation system separately, since it's not working either. In any case, keep us posted on your progress! We're all learning from each other here. Good luck!

Hi! Really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences. You're totally right. I'd hate to start replacing parts without a solid diagnosis. I'll be looking for a reliable local workshop that’s familiar with Nissan Diesel models and take the NV there for an inspection. I’ll make sure they’re gonna check on the connection between control devices, and keep your advice about the navigation system in mind too - wouldn’t want to overlook that problem! Again, thanks a bunch for your help. I'll indeed keep you all updated on how it goes. Fingers crossed it gets sorted with the least headache possible. Cheers!

Hey there, I have encountered a similar issue with my 2019 Nissan Rogue Diesel, which is a different model but quite similar to your NV. Granted, I only have low-level experience with car matters, but this is what I've learned. A friend of mine who runs a local workshop dealt with this problem for me. In my case, the issue was a defective cable connection of the control unit that caused instability in the connection to the BUS system. For 155 Euro, he replaced the defective cable and the communication between the control devices was back to normal. To help further, do you have any modifications done to the vehicle? And what's your vehicle's mileage? Differences there might change the solution for your NV a bit. Hope this helps a little!
