Seeking Advice on Troubleshooting Blower Issue in 2020 Nissan Pathfinder with Potential AUC Sensor Signal Error

Blower does not work properly

|

Insufficient Cooling/Heating

Hey guys, I'm having a bit of an issue with my 2020 Nissan Pathfinder with a Gasoline engine. The blower isn't working as it should and there's definitely not enough heating/cooling going on. I was thinking it might be an AUC sensor signal error, but not totally sure. Has anyone here dealt with a similar problem? Any specific advice or tips on troubleshooting this? Really interested to hear if anyone's had this issue sorted in a workshop and what your experience was like. Thanks a lot!

Hey there, sounds like you're in a fix! I had a similar issue with my 2018 Nissan Murano, petrol version. I'd say my level of car expertise is probably somewhere around low to some. I took my car to a local mechanic when the blower started acting up. Turned out, it was the sensor itself that was defective, similar to what you've been suspecting. I ended up paying around 90 Euro to have it replaced, which solved the problem for good. Just to make sure we're on the same page here, could you provide a bit more details about your Pathfinder? Like, any recent changes or add-ons? It might help in pointing you in the right direction.

Hi there! I appreciate your response and it's good to know that you managed to sort out a similar issue. Other than the blower acting up, my Pathfinder has been pretty smooth. I did have my regular service at around 171964 KM and no major changes or add-ons recently. Guess I need to take it to a mechanic as you did. €90 doesn't sound too bad if it fixes the problem entirely. Thanks for the heads-up!

Hey again! Good to hear back from you. Yeah, definitely sounds like it might be the same sensor issue I had with my Murano. And no worries, we're all here to help each other out! €90 is not too much, and if it does fix the issue, I reckon it's totally worth it. Also, even though you didn't do any major changes after your last service, sometimes it doesn't even take that. Sensors can be finicky, and they can sometimes just go bad without any warning. So, I would say, give it a shot. I have a good feeling that replacing the sensor might fix your blower issue. Anyway, keep us posted about how it goes or if you have any more questions. Good luck!

Hi again, thank you for the encouragement! You're definitely right about sensors being unpredictable. I'll definitely take your advice and have the sensor checked out and replaced if necessary. I'm glad I asked here and got your helpful inputs. I'll keep you guys posted once I've got it checked. Cheers!
