Seeking Advice on Troubleshooting Blower Issue in 2019 Fiat Cronos

Blower does not work properly

Hey I'm having some trouble with my 2019 Fiat Cronos that has a gasoline engine. The blower's been acting up, and it's not delivering like it used to. I've got a hunch the air conditioning control panel could be the culprit, but I'm really hoping to get some input from you all. Have any of you experienced a similar issue? If so, how did you guys resolve this at your workshops? I'm eager to hear about your experiences in sorting this out. Any tips or advice would be hugely appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Hey! I had a similar issue with my 2017 Fiat Tipo. I'm no expert, more of a low experience guy, but I took it to my local workshop. The problem was traced down to a defective cable connection rather than the control panel. I paid 210€ for the fix, and it's been blowing ice-cold ever since. Could you provide me with some more specific information on your car? Things like how many kilometers it has driven and when did you start experiencing this issue? This would help me give more in-depth insights or advice. Let's sort this out.

Hey there! Appreciate your response. My Cronos has clocked 158998 km so far. I noticed this issue about a month ago, right after my latest service. It's pretty frustrating because the summer season is almost here. I'll consider getting the cable connection checked as you've suggested. Thanks for the tip!

Hey there! No problem at all, glad to help out. It seems like your Cronos has quite a bit of mileage on it, so parts starting to wear down is not unexpected. Considering it started right after your last service check, it might be worth investigating if something got loosened or affected during the service. You might want to go back to your mechanic and explain the situation. Any decent mechanic should be willing to take a quick look given the recent service. Also, do check the blower motor and resistor while you're at it - they can be another cause of malfunctioning blowers. The A/C systems in these Fiats are usually quite robust, with control panels seldom going bad. In my own experience too, my Fiat Tipo's control panel has been going strong with no problems. Hopefully, it's just a simple fix for your Cronos. Good luck with it!

Hey appreciate your time. I think bringing up the recent service is a good shout, didn’t cross my mind before. I'll be sure to mention to my mechanic and get the blower motor and resistor checked. Fingers crossed, it's a small problem and not too costly. Cheers for your insights and quick responses. This forum really builds confidence in handling car issues. Till next time!
