Hey there! Appreciate you sharing your ordeal with me. That does seem like exactly the kind of fuss I'm dealing with. My Logan has run for around 109682 KM so I guess it's not surprising that the DPF might be acting up. Haven't gotten a chance to carry out a full-on diagnostics yet, but I guess that has got to be my next move. The DPF issue does seem to fit the bill from what I've seen and from your experience too. While the cost does sound a bit on the higher side, the peace of mind and restoring my ride's performance are well worth it. Going to get that diagnostics done asap then. It'll definitely be a relief to get this sorted out. Thanks again for the advice. I'll pop back in and share the diagnosis — and hopefully a resolution to this. Cheers!
Hey, glad to see my experience could give some sort of guidance! Yup, with that mileage under your Logan's belt, it does seem to align with my ordeal. Getting the diagnostics done will give you the precise breakdown of what's what. But unfortunately, in this case, DPF issues are kind of common with high mileage diesel cars. The costs can be steep, but I guarantee once the issue is sorted, your ride will be back in top form. Plus, you'll be saving big time on fuel – and that's always a good thing! Don't forget to keep me posted about your diagnostics results. Here's wishing you the best of luck in getting this sorted out! Cheers and we're all rooting for you. And remember your Dacia is a tough cookie and you'll be back to smooth rides soon!
No doubt, your experience has been nothing but enlightening! It's comforting to know I'm not the only one having run into such troubles. You're absolutely right about the importance of carrying out diagnostics. I'm planning to make a trip to the workshop this week. Fingers crossed the DPF is the only issue here. Totally agree, the Dacia Logan does have a rep for flying high miles without a hitch. It's just this DPF matter that's a common hitch for high-mile traveling lads like us, eh? I'm stoked for the prospect of getting my beast back to superior form, and surely, the long-term fuel cost savings will heal the immediate pain of fixing costs. Thanks for the support! Will definitely keep you guys updated post the workshop visit. Hoping to bounce back with a revving and ready Dacia soon! Cheers!
Hey! Sounds like you're in a bit of a pickle. I'm no mechanic but I've definitely got some experience with this sort of issue. I had the same problem on my 2019 Dacia Duster Diesel a while back. We're almost in the same boat, just different models. The issue turned out to be the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) wasn't functioning properly. From your description, seems like you're facing something similar since symptoms match. First, I took my Duster to a local workshop skilled in Dacia. They plugged in a diagnostic tool and it came back with "Diesel particulate filter internally defective". Although it wasn't a cheap fix (ended up costing me a cool 1550€), I felt it was worth it having my ride back to its usual self. Smooth running, no black smoke, power back up, and fuel economy improved. So, have you run any diagnostics on your Logan yet? The info could help to pin down more precisely what's going wrong. It's also good to know how many miles you've clocked up so far since these stuff can start to play up after a certain mileage. Anyway, that's my humble two pennies. Hope it helps. Looking forward to hearing more about your car's status.
