Seeking Advice on Troubleshooting Alarm System Glitches and Weak Battery in 2015 Hyundai Mistra

Alarm system malfunctions

Weak battery when starting the engine

Hey everyone, I've been having a bit of a weird issue with my 2015 Hyundai Mistra with a Gasoline engine. Lately, I've noticed a few problems like alarm system glitches and a weak battery when starting up. I'm suspecting there could be an issue with the anti-theft alarm system, but could certainly use some expert advice. Could anyone who has had a similar problem share their insights? Specifically, how did your workshop diagnose and fix this? Would really appreciate your experiences and tips!

Hey there! I had a pretty similar situation with my 2013 Hyundai Sonata a couple of years back. I'd describe myself as having some car experience, but this issue was a bit tricky even then. To sort it out, I took my car to my trusted local workshop. The guy ran some electronic diagnostics and figured out that the alarm system was coded to activate optical locking, which was what was messing things up. The solution was a system reset they did, and it cost me around 45 Euro. After the fix, my Sonata's been running like a dream! I do recommend getting your vehicle checked for possible similar issues. Do you happen to know your car's current mileage and if there have been any prior problems with the electrical system? This can be helpful to determine the best course of action. Hope this helps you out!

Hey, thanks for sharing your experience! Actually, my Mistra is currently sitting at 67,856 KM and hasn't had any major electrical issues in the past. The most recent service was only a month ago. I guess I'll get this alarm glitch checked out asap. Hopefully, a system reset will do the trick for me too, fingers crossed! Thanks again for the advice!

No problem at all, happy to help out! Sounds like your Mistra is relatively low mileage. Given the recent service, the issue might not be too serious. It could very well be that a system reset is all that's needed, just like in my case. But definitely get that alarm issue checked just in case, it's always better to catch these things early to avoid larger issues down the road. Let me know how it turns out! Best of luck!

I will do that for sure and will keep you posted on how it goes. It's always good to know there are helpful people out there ready to share their knowledge and experience. Thanks again and fingers crossed the issue isn't a major one. Take care!
