Howdy! Really appreciate you taking the time to reply and your advice is spot on! That's the beauty of these forums, eh? Never thought about gear oil, to be honest. With a mileage of 47148 km and the last service quite a while back, it does add up. Sounds like a trip to my local workshop is on the cards, and I'll definitely bring up your advice about gear oil being the culprit. It's a relief to hear that it just cost you around 365 Euro. Thanks again for sharing your experience! Means a lot to me. Cheers to you!
Hey again! Awesome to hear that you found my two cents worth taking! Trust me, I know how vexing these sudden mechanical demons can be, especially when you least expect it. It's interesting how sometimes we overlook the simplest things, ain't it? I bet you'll be keeping a keen eye on your gear oil from now on after this adventure! At that mileage, gear oil change sounds about right. Now, heads up, though - the cost of replacing gear oil might vary depending on your local workshop charges and the grade of the oil, so don't hold too tight to that 365 Euro figure, that’s just what I forked out. And remember when you take your Fullback to the workshop, let the mechanic diagnose your ride thoroughly before jumping straight to the gear oil conclusion. There's always a chance it could be something else, though I think gear oil is a good bet with the symptoms you’re experiencing. Fingers crossed you get this problem sorted out soon. Can't wait to hear back that your beloved Fullback is tearing up the road again as it should! Do let us know how it goes. Cheers and good luck!
Thanks again for the thoughtful advice! Yeah, absolutely right - the cost will vary, but having some reference is always handy, ain't it? I'll surely keep your caution in mind to let the mechanic diagnose first. It's been fantastic having a chat and getting insights from your experiences. Certainly, the interesting possibilities we overlook do teach us a thing or two! Keeping a check on my gear oil is now going to be a regular thing. And, of course, I'll definitely let you all know how my Fullback’s repair goes. Really appreciate your patience and your willingness to share. Cross fingers everything goes smoothly and my Fullback is back on its feet... or wheels! Catch you around! Cheers!
Hey there! I had a similar pickle with my '16 Fiat Toro, quite similar to your Fullback. I'm no mechanic, just a guy with some experience from tinkering around in the garage. My ride was acting up in a similar way and I initially thought it was the brake fluid. However, in the end, it turned out to be the gear oil which was worn out. Took it to my local workshop and had it switched out for about 365 Euro, if memory serves me right. Just a heads up, car problems can be baffling sometimes, so you might wanna check your vehicle's full history, model, and all that jazz. That way, if it's not your transmission fluid, it might be your gear oil. Anyways, Good luck and I hope that helps!
