Seeking Advice on Troubleshooting ABS Warning Light and Faulty DSC System in 2016 Lexus RX

Fault stored

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

ABS warning light

ABS/DSC system is not working

Hey! I'm having a bit of a puzzler with my 2016 Lexus RX running on Gasoline. Currently, I have an ABS warning light on, and it seems like the ABS/DSC system has gone rogue. There's also an ominous warning light in the speedometer and a fault stored in the system. My hunch is it could be something to do with the ASC system but I'm not 100% sure. Has anyone else experienced something similar? How did you fix it? What kind of feedback did your workshop provide? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hey there! I've had a similar situation with my 2012 Lexus ES on Diesel. So, I do have some experience with cars, but I'm not an expert by any means. Took it to my local workshop. They ran a diagnostic and figured out it was the ASC relay that had gone defective. The bill came around 90 Euro and, voila, it worked wonders! Can you share your car's mileage/model/etc.? It could help me give more specific advice. Hope that's a bit helpful! Keep us posted.

Hey! Appreciate the quick response. So, my baby Lexus has already clocked 85021KM, and the last time I got it serviced was about half a year ago. Your experience sounds similar, maybe the ASC relay is the culprit here too. I think I'll swing by my local workshop and ask them to check that out. More advice is definitely welcomed. Thanks a ton!

Hey, no worries, happy to help! I see your Lexus has a fair bit of kilometers under the belt. If it's the same problem as mine was, that ASC relay might indeed be the one causing mischief. Although I’d say, given the number of kilometers your car's done, it's not surprising some parts are starting to need replacement. Also, assuming ABS/DSC system isn't working properly, other things like Wheel Speed Sensors or the ABS Module could also be problematic. But let's hope it's just the ASC relay because replacing those can be quite expensive. Definitely visit your local workshop and get a diagnostic run, it should reveal what's exactly wrong. And hey, don't stress, it might just be a minor problem! Keep us posted. Good luck!

Afternoon! Cheers for the valuable advice. I reckon you're on point about the kilometers run affecting some parts—I was sort of expecting it. I've also made a mental note about the other potential issues you mentioned, just in case. Heading to my local workshop first thing tomorrow to see what's up and hopefully, fingers crossed, it's just the rogue relay playing up. Oh, and I'll be sure to keep everyone posted on here. Thanks a heap!
