Seeking Advice on Troubleshooting a Headlamp Leveller Issue in a 2021 Seat Tarraco Hybrid

Headlamp leveller malfunction

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Hey folks, I've been struggling with a tricky issue with my 2021 Seat Tarraco Hybrid. My headlamp leveller's been acting up and I've got this persistent warning light on my speedometer. I'm guessing it might be some sort of glitch with the headlight range control? Has anyone else faced something similar? Any tips on narrowing down the problem or specific experiences with getting this fixed at the workshop would be super helpful. Thanks!

Hey there! I ran into something pretty similar with my 2016 Seat Ateca, so maybe our issues aren't too far off. Just for reference, I'd say I have some experience with cars, not an expert, but y'know, I can hold my own. Anyway, my issue ended up being a faulty servomotor in the headlight. Got it to the garage and they fixed it up for me. Price tag came out to around 1040.00 Euro. Kinda pricey, but at least that warning light's off now! If you know your car's exact model and specs, I might be able to give you a bit more specific info. Hope that helps!

Hey there! It's interesting to know you've had the same issue with your Ateca. Thanks heaps for the tip, I'm starting to think it could also be related to the servomotor now. My Tarraco was last serviced at 148982 KM and everything seemed pretty chill back then. Guess I'll plan a quick trip to the garage soon enough. 1040.00 Euro is a bitter pill but anything to keep this beauty running smoothly. Any specific things I should watch out for when they're changing the servomotor? Cheers!

Hey champ! Always glad to help out a fellow car-lover. Yeah, when I got the servomotor fixed up, here's what I'd suggest you watch for: First, make sure they check both headlights even though only one might be giving you the warning. Sometimes the issues can be linked, and it could save you another trip and more bucks down the line. Secondly, ask the mechanic about the quality of the parts being used. With the price tag, you'd want to ensure you're getting your money's worth, right? So, don't hesitate to ask for an equivalent quality or even OEM if you're shelling out a similar amount. Finally, while they're at it, get them to check your headlamp wiring for any damage or corrosion, because that can also trigger the warning light. Don't sweat it. Here's hoping your Tarraco will be lighting up the road just fine soon! Good luck!

Hey, can’t thank you enough for your advice! Good call on checking both headlights, better be safe than sorry, right? And most definitely, I'll be sure to ask about the quality of the parts they use. Don’t want to chuck cash on something that won’t last. Checking the wiring is also on the list now. Fingers crossed this gets sorted soon and my Tarraco gets back to its full glory. Really appreciate the help! Cheers!
