Hey, thanks for your insight, really appreciated! To answer your question, my ix20's done about 32603 KM so far. The latest servicing was done a month ago. As for the sensor cables, haven't really checked 'em. Guess it's time I take a closer look at it, eh? I'll definitely let my mechanic know about this and see if there's a problem with the sensor connection. Here's to hoping it's not a hefty repair bill. Thanks again, compadre!

Oh hey again! Glad my previous message helped you out. Given your car's mileage, it's not a surprise if one of the sensors is acting up. I mean, my Elantra was only a bit over 20000 KM when the sensor issue popped up. Definitely get those sensor cables checked out. They might just be a bit worn out, or something may have come loose - it happens sometimes, especially given the vibrations inside the car's engine. Just an additional tip, also ask the mechanic to check for leaks. It might not be a common cause, but a subtle leak in the A/C refrigerant can lead to insufficient cooling/heating. And about that repair bill, cross your fingers it's just a minor cable issue. But even if it's something else, keep in mind that solving it early will save you some big bucks down the line. All the best! Looking forward to hearing your problem’s been solved!
Hey again! I can't thank you enough for your input and insight into this. Indeed, the mileage has been something, hadn't considered the wear and tear on those pesky sensor cables. I’ll make sure my mechanic checks them and I'll certainly be mindful of any possible leaks in the A/C refrigerant. I absolutely agree, it's always better to nip these things in the bud, save myself future grief and moolah! The good at the shop are getting quite the list - here’s hoping they can pin down this gremlin in my machine! I'll definitely keep you posted. Thanks for the well-wishes and advice! Cheers!

My 2013 ix 20 worked perfectly. Only now I only have hot and ice cold as an option.... it does not control the temperature.... what should i order to be able to drive comfortably again?
It sounds like your car's climate control system might be malfunctioning. It could be due to a faulty temperature blend door actuator, which is responsible for controlling the mix of hot and cold air. I'd recommend having a mechanic inspect this part first. If it's faulty, you'll need to replace it. Please keep us updated on your progress. Do you have any other questions?
Hey there! Funny enough, I experienced something similar with my 2015 Hyundai Elantra, a very relative model to yours. I have some experience with cars, nothing too professional, but I've learnt a few things here and there! In my case, the issue also had to do with the temperature sensor but it was actually a sensor cable connection that was defective. Took my car to a local workshop I trust - good guys, always have my back. I asked them to do a full check-up which included the sensors and they spotted the problem. The whole fix cost me around 110€, not too shabby if you ask me. Make sure your mechanic checks for any faulty connections in your sensor systems, could be a similar issue. Mind sharing a bit more about your car? Like how many kilometers it has or maybe the condition of the sensor cables? Always propitious to have more information. Anyway, hope this helps a bit and good luck with your ix20! I know how annoying these little issues can be.
