Thanks for sharing your experience! Good to hear you got your problem fixed for free. I was secretly hoping for the same! It's definitely a petrol V40 engine. Just to give you more context, the car's last service was not too long ago, at around 15,708 KM km on the odometer. No significant problems before this, aside from a flat tire once. I'll take your advice and take it to our local Volvo workshop. Hope it's not too costly fare. Fingers crossed it's something similar like yours and is covered under warranty. Cheers!

Good on ya! Every additional detail helps when it comes down to car issues. Hopefully, it's nothing more than a minor out-of-pocket surprise for ya. From my experience, a car issue involving a warning light on the speedometer and general electric malfunction might not always relate to the air conditioning system like in my case. Sometimes they can be unrelated despite the symptoms. What's interesting here is, you mentioned your car has recently been serviced, right? It's always a good idea to revisit any work that's been done recently because sometimes one problem can lead to another. Maybe your situation might have something to do with that. Don't fret over it too much, the guys at the Volvo workshop should be able to diagnose the issue pretty quick. They're sharp as a tack and understand these machines inside out. Not a biggie, eh? Remember to keep me updated on what you found out. I'm no grease monkey, but I'm all ears for interesting car issues. Best of luck! Cheers!

Hey, thanks for your insight! Good point about potentially revisiting the recent service. I hadn't thought about it that way at all! Didn't think a recent service could possibly stir up a new problem. Peculiar way of looking at things, but makes sense, I guess. You're spot on about those Volvo guys, they sure know their game. Hopefully, they'll sort out whatever is messing up my baby. By the way, I got a kick out of "grease monkey". That made my day. I'll keep you updated about my journey into the fascinating world of car troubles. Fingers crossed it's all sorted soon. Thanks again! Cheers!

Hey there, I had a pretty similar issue with my 2014 Volvo V60 Diesel engine. Just like you, I had the darn speedometer light coming on and some HVAC problems. To be open with you, I've got some experience with cars, not an expert but I know a thing or two. So, I took my car to the local workshop, and guess what? It turned out to be a defective Cold shut-off valve, relating to the air conditioning system, not a costly fix luckily enough. Cost me absolutely nothing, in Euro, since it fell under warranty at the time. A word of advice, you might want to double-check the model and engine type on your car, sometimes it helps with diagnosing car problems better. Do you know if it's a petrol or a diesel? Any additional car details or previous issues you recall might help too. Good luck!
