Hiya! Thanks for getting back. When I try to set the alarm, there isn't any unusual sound or light popping up. It's just that the alarm sets off at unusual times which is super annoying, especially in the evenings. Other than that, nothing much seems out of the ordinary. And yes, I did go for a routine service just after crossing the 91000 KM mark. Hope this helps!

Hey there again! Ah, I see, that unusual trigger definitely seems like an issue tied to the sensors, possibly the tilt sensor as you initially thought. Given there's no specific sound or light when you set the alarm, it looks like the system isn't visually or audibly signaling any trouble. Now, when I faced a similar issue with my Genesis, the mechanic did a comprehensive scan to find the faulty sensor, it's somewhat like a fault-finding mission. Considering your Equus already crossed the 91000 KM mark, sensor malfunctions aren't out of the question. These kinds of issues can pop up as the car gets older. If you're comfortable tinkering around, you could try checking for loose connections in the alarm system or even cleaning the tilt sensor. But honestly, I'd really recommend taking it to a professional, just to avoid any potential missteps. Depending on where you live, the cost might be a bit similar to what I paid. Annoying as it may be, having a functioning alarm system is peace of mind. Cheers and hope this helps!

Heya, thanks for the insightful advice! Sounds very likely that it's a sensor glitch. My comfort zone really doesn't stretch to handling the alarm system myself, so a visit to a professional it is then. I'm just hoping it doesn't burn a hole in my wallet. Thanks again for your help. Peace of mind is exactly what I need right now. Cheers!

Hey there! Had a similar issue with my 2010 Hyundai Genesis a while back. Got some experience with cars, but more of a tinkerer than a pro. Took it to my local workshop and the bloke said it was an error in the sensors for the alarm system. Cost me about 250 Euro to fix it though. Seems like your Equus might be facing the same issue, but can't say for sure without more details. Can you share what exactly happens when you try to set the alarm? Any unusual sounds or lights? It'll help me give a better suggestion. Cheers!
