Thanks for your reply! My Accent's mileage is 42568 KM and I haven't had any major repairs recently. My last service was regular maintenance about six months ago. Given your experience, I think I'll take my car to the workshop and ask them to check the sensor and wiring harness. Fingers crossed it's not more complicated than that. Appreciate the help!
No worries! Glad I could help. Your mileage is not that much for an '06 model, actually. Regular maintenance is also key to keep things running smoothly, so good on you! Given what you shared, it does sound like your intake manifold pressure sensor or its wiring could be the issue just like with my Sonata. Better safe than sorry though, so it's worth having your mechanic check it out. In my experience, getting these issues sorted early on can prevent more serious engine damage and save your wallet in the long run. Best of luck with your Accent and I hope it gets back to purring like a kitten in no time. Let us know how it goes in the workshop!
Your words resonate! I’m agreeable to the thought of sorting out these issues early. I'll definitely heed your advice and take it to the mechanic ASAP. Here's hoping it's nothing major and gets fixed soon. Will update on the situation after the workshop visit. Thanks again for the feedback and the well wishes!
Hey there, I've had a similar issue with my 2004 Hyundai Sonata a while back. I'd say my level of car expertise is low, however, I do know enough to recognize when something's off. So take my words with a grain of salt. Here's my experience: I took my car to the local workshop. The mechanic pulled up the code and, just like you thought, confirmed the problem was indeed the intake manifold pressure sensor. Turns out the wiring harness had either shorted out or opened up - quite the heartache, as you say. The remedy was a bit pricey, at 95 Euro, but in the end, the issue was sorted out, and my Sonata went back to its old self - smooth and reliable. However, without knowing more about your car, such as mileage, maintenance history, and any recent repairs, it is a bit difficult to precisely advise you. Any more info would help. Good luck with your Accent!
