Hey there! Thanks for the quick response, it's much appreciated. I haven't checked the refrigerant level yet, but I'll definitely give it a go - you gave me some hope there! My ride has already seen a ton of roadsides, with mileages reaching up to 210842 KM to date, so you can imagine why I'm getting a little anxious. Also, the most recent service was done not too long ago, but the workshop didn't mention anything specific about A/C. By the way, mine is a 2005 Toyota Celica, running on gas, in case that makes a difference. It's time to roll up the sleeves and get under that hood, I guess. I'll keep you posted on how it turns out. Cheers!
Hey! I’m glad you found my insights hopeful! Cars can become a bit of a headache as they accumulate mileage, that's for sure. Your Celica is a real champ running those lengthy miles on the road! Remarkable, isn’t it? Now about the A/C issue, the workshop may overlook certain things sometimes unless you specifically mention it to them. Happened to me as well. Kind of frustrating, but that's how it goes sometimes. So your Celica being a 2005 model, running on gas, doesn't make a considerable difference regarding the A/C issue. Keeping your fingers crossed that it's just a refrigerant issue and not the compressor because that could be a bit more expensive to repair. Make sure to check for any visible leaks under the car too, if you find any strange spots, that might suggest a leak somewhere in the A/C system! Eagerly waiting to hear back how it goes. All the best with the sleuthing and stay cool!
Hey, thanks so much for the support! Decided to give it a go - checked the refrigerant level, and yep, it was empty as you suspected. No visible leaks under the car, which is a relief. Planning to pop into the workshop for a refill and see how things go from there. If it's just low refrigerant, I can sleep a little easier than if it's a dying compressor. I'll keep you posted on the progress. Thanks again! Stay cool as well, cheers!
Hey there, I've got a bit of some experience with cars and funny enough, had a similar issue with my 2003 Toyota Matrix, just a slightly different model from the same brand. Turns out my Air conditioning refrigerant was completely empty. A visit to my local workshop cleared up that mystery, and they did an awesome job refilling it up. No expense was even involved, how cool is that! Just to be sure though, have you checked the refrigerant level in your Celica? Exact model and year could be useful in case there are differences to take into account. Cheers!
