Hey, thanks for the quick response! It's great to hear from someone who's been through this stuff before. My Stonic has clocked around 17679 km, I use it both ways, some days short trips, other days long drives. The car’s latest service was done a month back. I'll definitely try refilling the Ad-Blue tank as you suggest. Fingers crossed and hope this resolves the issue. Will keep you all posted. Much appreciated!
Hey, and cheers for the reply! With the mileage and usage pattern you mentioned, your guess (and mine) about the Ad Blue might well be the culprit here. Just a heads up, in my experience, do brace yourself - sometimes after refilling the tank, the engine might take a bit of time to reset and turn off the warning light. If that's the case and the warning light still bugs you, give it a couple of drives, or around 100 km or so. If it persists longer than that, you might want to consult your workshop again. Anyway, hope you sail through this! It's indeed a bit of a pain but hang in there. Cars, they're like high-maintenance friends but we love 'em, don't we? Do let us all know how it goes! Good luck and drive safe.
Gotcha! Really appreciate you for sharing the helpful insight. I'll remember to be patient if the warning light is being stubborn. And boy, aren't they just like high-maintenance friends, haha. If anything else pops up or if things get better, I’ll definitely clue you all in. Thanks again for the advice and taking the time to guide me through this. Safe driving out there, and let's keep loving our feisty metal buddies! Cheers!
Hey there! I faced a similar issue with my 2017 Kia Stonic Diesel. Not to brag but I've got some experience tucked under my belt, having messed around with cars for quite a while now. It seems like your hunch is right. My vehicle ran into the same "check engine" light and DPF stuff. I went to my local workshop where they put my car through a system diagnosis and, boom, Ad-Blue level was too low. To fix it, I refilled the Ad-Blue tank, a pretty straightforward process and it cost me around 65€. However, bear in mind every car's a little unique so make sure you have your workshop give yours a thorough check. Could you share a bit more about your car? Like mileage, has it been used for short trips or long journeys? That can help me (and others here) chime in with more detailed advice! Cheers!
