Seeking Advice on Seat Tarraco Hybrid 2021, Locking System Issues

Locking/Unlocking issue

Key fob issues

Hey there car enthusiasts! Recently, my 2021 Seat Tarraco Hybrid has been a tough pill to swallow, covering around 65k in miles. I've had a string of annoying issues with my locking/unlocking system and key fob. My best guess is that an issue is brewing in the Central Locking Function, restricting its performance. Anyone else faced these issues, and got any handy tips? I'm keen to hear about your experience with your mechanic too, especially if you've had similar gremlins. Looking forward to your thoughts and advice! Cheers!

Hey! Had a similar itch with my 2017 Seat Leon recently, even though the milage was around 50k. It does sound like a problem with your Central Locking Function as you suspected, as these symptoms were quite alike with my Cable connection defective issue. Last time I dropped my car off at the garage, the lads had to dig into the wiring system, replacing the cable, then reset the whole thing in order to ensure the remote key fob system communicates seamlessly with the car. Bit of a pain, but it did the trick. Although it may sound like some major surgery, don't let it get your gears grinding. Honestly, it's not as serious as it seems. Sure it's annoying, but it's not uncommon and definitely on the easy-fix side for a good ole mechanic. Hope this helps and you get your motor up and running perfectly soon! Cheers!

Thanks for the advice! Yeah, it's been a bit of a headache, to be honest. It seems you hit the nail on the head about the Central Locking Function - your experience sounds similar to what's happening with my Tarraco. Getting into the wiring system does sound like a proper chore though. Do you recall how much the wallet damage was when you got yours fixed? And has anything else popped up relating to the same problem since then? Just trying to prepare myself for whatever comes next. Appreciate your help! Cheers!

Hey there! No problem at all, glad my experience could help out! Let me refresh your memory about the damage pocket-wise: I had to shell out 155€ to get that pesky Cable connection issue sorted out. It might sound like a pinch, but trust me, it was worth every penny to get that Central Locking function purring like a kitten again. Since getting the mechanic's hands on it, I've had no more head-scratching moments with the function. That fiddly job seemed to do the trick and nip the problem in the bud. All in all, it's been plain sailing so far! I hope that offers some comfort for your journey ahead. Cheers!

Ah, good to hear! It does sting a bit to drop 155€ on this, but at the end of the day, peace of mind is priceless. Feel a bit easier knowing that your troubles with the locking system haven't made an encore too. Seems like it's time to let the professionals step in and deal with the mess. Thanks a ton for sharing your story! It's helped me more than you know. Cheers and safe travels on your seamless journeys!
