Hey there! Thanks for sharing your experience, it's really helpful. To give you more details about my car, it has racked up about 113190 KM on the odometer. I keep it regularly serviced, the latest was just last month actually. No other major work done lately that I can think of. Perhaps that additional info will ring a bell? Cheers again!
Hey, no problem at all, glad to help! Your mileage is similar to what mine was when I had the issue. Plus, you're keeping up with regular services which is great. In my case, the combination of higher mileage and the heavy load on the DPF was what caused the issue. Your situation could be a bit different, but it does seem like the DPF is likely the issue. My recommendation would be to get it checked at a trusted garage soon. They should be able to confirm if it's really your DPF causing the problem and hopefully sort it out for you. It might cost a bit, but ignoring it could lead to even more expensive repairs down the line. In the meantime, try to refrain from short trips with cold starts as it's not helping the DPF. Instead, try to get on the highway and give it a good run, that can sometimes help with the DPF regeneration. Hope all goes well with your Duster Diesel! Keep me posted on how it turns out.
Thanks a bunch for the detailed advice! Really bookmarking the part about avoiding short trips with cold starts - that's a new one for me. Looks like I got some homework to do with my Duster Diesel. I'll take it to my trusty garage ASAP and get it all checked out. I'll update you on how it turns out, fingers crossed it's something they can easily sort out without hurting my wallet too much. Cheers again you're a life saver!
Hey! I totally feel ya! I had a pretty similar situation with my 2019 Dacia Sandero Stepway Diesel. I would classify myself as having some experience in car issues, but this one really threw me for a loop. To make it short, my local garage pinpointed the problem to the DPF being heavily loaded as you suspected. The whole process, from diagnosis to repair, cost me around 1325 Euro. Yep, it wasn't cheap! Hope this helps you a bit, but could you maybe share a few more details about your vehicle? Specific things like mileage, service history, and if you've had any other recent work done that might be affecting this? Maybe then I can share something more to your specific situation. Best of luck!
