Hey there, thanks a bunch for sharing your experience! It's a bit of a load off knowing it ain't the end of the world for my Lexus, ha. And yeah, those blinking oil lights are almost like a lousy piece of modern art, aren't they? Good to know, though, that it was just the sensor cable for you. Do you recall, off the top of your head, how much all that ended up costing you at the garage? Since getting that sorted, anything else similar popped up? Cheers!
Hey, good to hear your sense of humor is still intact amidst this car mystery! As for the damage to my pocket, fixing the oil level sensor cable set me back about 165 smackers (in Euro). While I admit it wasn't exactly peanuts, I was happy to have the blinking light artistry go away, haha. Since that little fix-up, nothing of the sort's happened again and she's been purring along quite nicely. Let's hope you have the same good luck after your visit to the mechanic. Here's to happier driving days ahead, eh? Cheers!
Great to know you've had smooth sailing since that fix! Pricey but if it sorts out the issue, then it's a fair deal. Sounds like our cars are trying to showcase their artistic side, with the oil lights and all, ha. I'd rather a scenic drive than a blinking light show! Thanks for the heads-up and the good vibes! Glad I reached out for advice, you've been beyond helpful. Now, it's time to roll up my sleeves and deal with this. Wishing you many more blink-free miles ahead. Cheers!
Hey! I totally relate to your situation. I own a 2019 Lexus GX and found myself in the thick of it a while back with a similar issue. The oil light saga was a real pain, kept blinking like it was sending me Morse code or something, ha. There was this warning sign on the speedometer, exactly the same scenario. I ended up heading to the garage anyway because obviously, those metal shavings had me worried. What my mechanic told me was that the oil sensor cable connection was wonky. More often than not, it's a signal issue, just like you suspect. Not gonna lie, I wasn't exactly thrilled. But, they sorted it by changing the connector and fixing the sensor cable. It's quite a predicament. Annoying, yeah, but not the car Armageddon. Most importantly, don't put it off too long. Tackle the issue head-on and you should be fine. Hope this helps!
