Seeking Advice on Persistent Low Tire Pressure Alerts in 2021 Seat Tarraco Hybrid

Tire pressure to low

Hey everyone! Got a bit of a problem with my 2021 Seat Tarraco, Hybrid engine, which has done around 112,300 KM. I've been dealing with some persistent low tire pressure alerts and I'm suspecting it's a fault with the tire pressure sensor. Had a rough go with mechanics last time around and not keen on being taken for another ride. Has anyone else dealt with similar issues with this model or just tire pressure sensors in general? Would love to hear about your experiences and how you handled the situation at the mechanic's. Thanks, guys!

Hey! Had a similar problem with my 2017 Seat Leon ST, petrol version, just a while back. Had this annoying 'Sensor Battery Empty' message popping up. I thought it might be a glitch or something, but turns out it was a real issue. The mechanic explained to me that the sensors in our cars have their own tiny batteries inside, so if it's dead, the sensor just stops transmitting data to the ECU, hence, the problem. Swapping out that sensor was the solution in my case. The whole process was smoother than I'd expected, thanks to my trusty mechanic. Although it wasn't a life and death kind of situation regarding the car's performance, it's still something you'd want to get sorted, given how handy a correct tire pressure reading can be, especially on longer drives. So, I reckon you might be dealing with something similar. Just take your Tarraco to a garage you trust and they should be able to hook you up. I hope this helps, good luck!

Hey there! Time to confess, I had a bit of a run-in myself with my 2019 Seat Tarraco, Diesel variant. That pesky low tire pressure alert was my daily soundtrack, turned out the sensor was indeed calling it quits. Rewinding back to my conversation with the mechanic, the problem was traced back to a faulty tire pressure sensor. Got that replaced and voila, the alert had finally found the exit door! I'm curious, how much did you end up spending,? I mean, I had a great mechanic who looked after me, but I'd like to know if the prices are about the same. Also, were there any other sensor shenanigans with your Seat Leon ST since that fix? Even if it's not a towering issue, it's comforting to keep everything ship-shape, y'know. Thanks in advance!

Hey! Yeah, getting that pesky sensor sorted out was a bit of a relief, I have to admit. You asked about the cost - let's just say it wasn't really a bargain, I had to chip out 280€. But, considering the 'Sensor Battery Empty' error got nipped in the bud, I'd say it was worth the damage to my pocket. Since that fix, my Leon ST's been behaving pretty decently - no more sensor dramas, thank heavens! These sensor issues are not monumental but you're absolutely right, it does put your mind at ease knowing your ride is running smoothly. Here's hoping your Tarraco continues to run like a champ too. Cheers!

Oh wow! Thanks for the head ups, lads! This really helps put things into perspective. I guess a trip down to my mechanic is due sooner rather than later. Just need to ensure that my Tarraco stays on top of its game, heavens knows I depend on it so much. , lucky you to have a mechanic who looks out for you. Your experience certainly makes me feel less anxious about getting the sensor replaced. And, good to know that post the fix your Leon is giving you no troubles. I'm hoping the cost for me lands in the same ballpark. Alright, it's mechanic time. Will keep you all posted about how it goes. Thanks again for all your help, fellas!
