Hey there! It sounds like you've really been through the wringer with your Clios pump issue. I'm glad your car seems to be happy and purring now, gives me some hope! Out of curiosity, do you remember how much the whole ordeal set you back? I'm trying to brace myself for the potential impact on my bank account. Also, did you have any further trouble since everything got fixed? Any surprise issues sneaking up on you? Looking forward to hearing more about your experience. Keep your fingers crossed for my Arkana! Cheers.

Hey there! Yeah, the ordeal with the Clio sure was a bit of a rollercoaster, wasn't it? But hey, everything got sorted in the end. The little bugger chewed through roughly 220€ from my wallet, that was for sorting the defective cable on the pump/control unit. It wasn't cheap, admittedly, but it was worth the peace of mind knowing my ride was in top shape again! And since that gremlin in the pump got fixed up by the mechanic, my Clio has been going strong —no new issues have popped up, no surprises, nada. It's just been plain sailing (or should I say, 'driving'!) since. I'll keep both hands on the wheel and my fingers crossed for your Arkana. Hope your troubles don't end up causing too much of a dent in your bank account. Take care and good luck!

Thanks a ton for the info. It's a relief to hear you haven't had any more problems with your Clio since. Yeah, 220€ seems a bit steep, but as you said, can't put a price on peace of mind, right? And to be honest, I'm preparing for the worst considering how unlucky I've been with cars recently, haha. Your experience gives me hope that once I get this sorted, my Arkana should be good as new. So fingers crossed, and off to the mechanic, I go! Will keep you guys updated on how it goes! Thanks again. Cheers and take care!

Hey, had a similar issue last year with my 2018 Renault Clio. The fried egg on the bonnet and the cursed check engine light, classic symptoms. After all, concludes, it was a defective cable on the pump/controllers unit. It's a pretty serious issue, quite a good chunk of work was needed to fix this. They had to be incredibly careful while sorting it out, ensuring not to mess up any of the surrounding parts, especially given it's hybrid rig. Don't want to bore you to death with my garage experience, but it was definitely better than my prior, let's just leave it at that. The team knew what they were doing and handled it well. Once fixed, car has been purring like a kitten, fingers crossed. So, I'd say get your hands dirty, pop the bonnet or, even better, get it to a mechanic you trust ASAP. Hope you sort it out soon, take care!
