Seeking Advice on Non-functioning Brake Light in 2022 Dacia Duster: Possible Signal Issue?
Brake light not working

Hey! Thanks for sharing your experience, and trust me, one doesn't get to 70804 km without a few embarrassing stories of their own, haha. As for my brake light issue, it's been a week or so with no luck. The cargo blocking the light isn't the problem, cause I checked that first. I've had a full service a little while back, and anything to do with the lamps or fuses didn't come up as a problem. Not to mention, there hasn't been any strange behaviour from the car recently apart from this. Perhaps I should take it to a mechanic as well for a quick look? Maybe it just needs a new light bulb or something. Anyway, any extra thoughts you might have on this are welcome. Thanks!
Hey again! Ah, the good old 70804 km mark, eh? Brings back fond memories! Well, it seems like the basics have been covered - no cargo in the way and recent full service. That's good! Still, the bulb itself could have simply blown out. Sometimes, it does happen without any apparent reason. I'd recommend trying to replace the bulb before you spend money on a mechanic. It’s a pretty simple process, I’ve done it a few times on my Dacia. Just pop into a local car parts shop, pick up a bulb of the right type (probably won't cost more than a few Euro), and replace it. Chances are your manual will highlight how to do it, or you could always look up a tutorial online -- trust me, there's a YouTube video for nearly everything today! If the new bulb doesn’t help or you notice any other electrical oddities (like other lights flickering, etc.), it's time for a check-up at your trusted mechanic's place. And remember, no question is too small or too silly when it comes to car safety. It’s always better being safe than sorry, especially on the road! Keep me updated on how it goes, Cheers!
Top notch advice! I'll take a crack at swapping out the light bulb and will cross my fingers that it does the trick. If it doesn't, then the ol' Dacia and I will be off to see our local mechanic. What can I say, I'm grateful for the push to get on it - you're absolutely right about safety being paramount. I'll let you know how it all unfolds. Thanks a ton for your help, and I'll be back with updates, or if I need more tips. Take care, Cheers!
Hey there! I had a slightly similar issue with my 2020 Dacia Logan - both cars, just separated by two years. I'm no expert on car stuff (my experience level is somewhere around 'some', bordering on 'low'), but I can share what happened with me. The brake light acted up occasionally, and my first guess was some electrical issue. I took it to my local mechanic - a splendid fellow who knows his job like the back of his hand. He did a quick check and I felt like an absolute muppet when he said it was a personal error. Turned out, my cargo was obstructing the light (a tad embarrassing, I know). Best part? It cost me nothing, not a single euro! Just make sure there's nothing blocking the light, that could be it! Can you tell me a bit more about your car's issue? Maybe a bit more info about when this started and if there's been any other odd issues? I might be able to help further with some more details... Cheers!
