Headlight cleaning system without function

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. No accidents with my Arkana so far - touch wood. I've clocked up around 186034 km on it as of my last service, which was fairly recent. So, I'd classify my usage as being on the heavy side. I'll definitely look into the cable break possibility. Thanks for sharing your experience, it took off some of the stress. Cheers!
Hey, no problem, glad I could help out a little. Given the mileage you've racked up, cable wear and tear is indeed a possibility. With heavy usage, cables can fray or break, leading to the sort of issue you're experiencing. Though your issue might not be exactly the same as mine, it’s worth getting a mechanic to check it out anyways. A head's up though, the cable break might not be immediately visible. So, it's vital to find a workshop that's thorough so as not to miss it if that's the culprit. In my case, it took a mechanic who was doggedly determined not to be defeated by a Renault Kadjar to track down the problem in the end. Best of luck with your Arkana, hope the headlight cleaning system issue gets sorted soon! Feel free to keep us posted on developments. Cheers!
Wow, the cable wear and tear point makes so much sense. Thanks for the heads-up about the importance of attention to detail when trying to track down this kind of problem. I'll make sure I entrust the Arkana to an as-determined-as-a-hound mechanic for sure! Thanks again for your advice and motivation - I'm living for these positive vibes. Will keep you all updated on how it goes. Stay tuned and keep the rubber burning. Cheers!
Hey there! I faced a similar issue with my 2019 Renault Kadjar, so almost exactly the same thing. I've got some experience with cars, but I'm by no means an expert. Long story short, I took the Kadjar to my local garage, and it turned out to be a cable break. I was scratching my head for ages before they figured it out. The repair set me back about 155 euro, but it sorted the issue completely. Would you mind telling me if your Arkana has seen heavy use or if it's been involved in any accidents? It might help me to drill down into what's going on with it.
