Hey there! That sounds super similar to what's happening with my Felicia. So, it was the electrical system, huh? Guess mine might be the same then. I'm interested to know, do you recall how much you had to cough up to get it all fixed? And has anything else related to this popped up since the repair? Appreciate your advice.
Hey again! Yeah, the whole fix up for my Octavia came in at about 85 quid. Not too unreasonable with regards to the peace of mind it brings, right? And after the mechanic had a good look over, my Skoda's been running pretty much as smooth as silk. No more glitches or gremlins since then. Oh, and just circling back to your thought about that defective interior light - it DID get fixed when the car was at the mechanic's, but it wasn't what was causing the fuss with the navigation and audio systems. Just thought you might want to know it in case yours has also gone on the blink. Safe driving!
Hey again! Thanks a lot for the detailed insight. Good to know you had an overall positive experience and it wasn't too horrifying on the wallet. I'm feeling more at ease about getting my Felicia checked out now. Will get around to it soon, considering it's about the overall safety and peace of mind, like you said. Also, appreciate the heads up about the interior light. Mine is indeed on the fritz, so hopefully it gets sorted out along with the main issues. Thanks for everything! Safe driving to you too. Cheers!
Hey, understood your problem. I had a similar issue with my 2004 Skoda Octavia. I also thought initially that it was the interior light creating the fuss. But it happened to be something totally different. My navigation and audio system went on the fritz as well. Ended up at the garage, and it turned out to be an issue with the car's electrical system - not the interior light! Apparently, the fuse for the accessory systems was blown and some of the wiring had frayed over time. Don't panic, it wasn't a super serious issue. The fuse needed replacing and the wiring had to be sorted. Just remember that it's not always what it looks like! Recommend getting your car fully inspected by a reputable mechanic - better safe than sorry.
