Hey there, Your experience sounds pretty similar to what I'm dealing with, actually. The issue with the headlamp assembly makes a lot of sense and it's good to hear it's not something too calamitous. Could you ballpark how much you shelled out for the replacements? Also, since you got it fixed, have you had any recurring issues or something else popping up? I’m just trying to gauge if fixing it completely solved the problem. Cheers, appreciate the advice!
Hey bud, The issue got nixed right away after I took it to my mechanic and, touch wood, hasn't cropped up again since. Feels like the ol' gal's beam lights are brighter and steadier than before. So in my case, getting it sorted did put an end to the problem for good. As for the cost, I recall shelling out around €102.5 for the new A lamp. Sure, it pinches the pocket a bit but I reckon it's a small price to pay for peace of mind on those late-night drives, eh? Anyway, hope this helps you out. Good luck and safe driving!
Hey there, Wow, that does put my mind at ease. If the problem's solved once for all with a one-off payment, it's better than being penny-wise and ending up with a bigger issue later. So, looks like I’ll have to find a reliable mechanic and get this sorted. Thanks so much for sharing your experience and clarify my doubts. Safe driving to you too! Cheers.
Hey! I had a similar issue with my 2014 Hyundai Sonata, couple years back. The low and high beam lights were all over the place and the indicator seemed dodgy as well. It turned out that the issue wasn't with the indicator but rather with the headlamp assembly itself. Had to get both replaced. The job wasn't monumental or anything, but it needed to be done right to prevent any future mishaps. It took the garage a few hours to get the work done. They found that both the assemblies were defective, causing the misalignment and the flickering. They replaced the assemblies, realigned the beams and voila, everything was back to normal. You may be facing a similar issue with your Grandeur. So, your initial guess isn't off. Finding a reliable mechanic is always tough, but it's always good to get a second opinion before you commit to any work. Just remember, taking care of it sooner rather than later is the key. Hope this helps and good luck with the fix!
